इन्द्रा॒ को वां॑ वरुणा सु॒म्नमा॑प॒ स्तोमो॑ ह॒विष्मा॑ँ अ॒मृतो॒ न होता॑ । यो वां॑ हृ॒दि क्रतु॑माँ अ॒स्मदु॒क्तः प॒स्पर्श॑दिन्द्रावरुणा॒ नम॑स्वान्
indrā ko vāṃ varuṇā sumnamāpa stomo haviṣmām̐ amṛto na hotā yo vāṃ hṛdi kratumām̐ asmaduktaḥ pasparśadindrāvaruṇā namasvān
Indra or Varuṇa—who among them has honored you? May the hymn and the offering be not immortal. He who within your hearts invoked sacrifice—Indra-Varuṇa, salute and be propitious.

इन्द्रा॑ ह॒ यो वरु॑णा च॒क्र आ॒पी दे॒वौ मर्तः॑ स॒ख्याय॒ प्रय॑स्वान् । स ह॑न्ति वृ॒त्रा स॑मि॒थेषु॒ शत्रू॒नवो॑भिर्वा म॒हद्भिः॒ स प्र शृ॑ण्वे
indrā ha yo varuṇā cakra āpī devau martaḥ sakhyāya prayasvān sa hanti vṛtrā samitheṣu śatrūnavobhirvā mahadbhiḥ sa pra śaṛṇve
Indra who and Varuṇa together made the gods and men share fellowship; they slay the Vṛtra in battles, enemies before and around, mighty with great forces—listen to him.

इन्द्रा॑ ह॒ रत्नं॒ वरु॑णा॒ धेष्ठे॒त्था नृभ्यः॑ शशमा॒नेभ्य॒स्ता । यदी॒ सखा॑या स॒ख्याय॒ सोमैः॑ सु॒तेभिः॑ सुप्र॒यसा॑ मा॒दयै॑ते
indrā ha ratnaṃ varuṇā dheṣṭhetthā nṛbhyaḥ śaśamānebhyastā yadī sakhāyā sakhyāya somaiḥ sutebhiḥ suprayasā mādayaite
Indra the jewel, Varuṇa the lord, give riches to men who are like waxing moons. If with friendship and with Soma’s sons they, with offspring and prosperity, bring delight, do not anger them.

इन्द्रा॑ यु॒वं व॑रुणा दि॒द्युम॑स्मि॒न्नोजि॑ष्ठमुग्रा॒ नि व॑धिष्टं॒ वज्र॑म् । यो नो॑ दु॒रेवो॑ वृ॒कति॑र्द॒भीति॒स्तस्मि॑न्मिमाथाम॒भिभू॒त्योजः॑
indrā yuvaṃ varuṇā didyumasminnojiṣṭhamugrā ni vadhiṣṭaṃ vajram yo no durevo vṛkatirdabhītistasminmimāthāmabhibhūtyojaḥ
Indra, you and Varuṇa, shine with mighty might; hurl the thunderbolt pierced by the foremost. He who from afar is a wolf-feller and fearful—to him let our strength and vigor come as protection.

इन्द्रा॑ यु॒वं व॑रुणा भू॒तम॒स्या धि॒यः प्रे॒तारा॑ वृष॒भेव॑ धे॒नोः । सा नो॑ दुहीय॒द्यव॑सेव ग॒त्वी स॒हस्र॑धारा॒ पय॑सा म॒ही गौः
indrā yuvaṃ varuṇā bhūtamasyā dhiyaḥ pretārā vṛṣabheva dhenoḥ sā no duhīyadyavaseva gatvī sahasradhārā payasā mahī gauḥ
Indra, you and Varuṇa, be the minds of what has become, the departed bulls’ cow—let her milk us. May she milk for us, going with the thousand streams, the waters bearing cows over the earth.

तो॒के हि॒ते तन॑य उ॒र्वरा॑सु॒ सूरो॒ दृशी॑के॒ वृष॑णश्च॒ पौंस्ये॑ । इन्द्रा॑ नो॒ अत्र॒ वरु॑णा स्याता॒मवो॑भिर्द॒स्मा परि॑तक्म्यायाम्
toke hite tanaya urvarāsu sūro dṛśīke vṛṣaṇaśca pauṃsye indrā no atra varuṇā syātāmavobhirdasmā paritakmyāyām
The sons of the beneficial one, with ripeness in their limbs, the strong heroes in the fertile beams, seen by the sun—Indra and Varuṇa may be ours; may they be present for our wandering protection.

यु॒वामिद्ध्यव॑से पू॒र्व्याय॒ परि॒ प्रभू॑ती ग॒विषः॑ स्वापी । वृ॒णी॒महे॑ स॒ख्याय॑ प्रि॒याय॒ शूरा॒ मंहि॑ष्ठा पि॒तरे॑व श॒म्भू
yuvāmiddhyavase pūrvyāya pari prabhūtī gaviṣaḥ svāpī vṛṇīmahe sakhyāya priyāya śūrā maṃhiṣṭhā pitareva śambhū
You two sat in the midst of the plains for the earlier owner of cattle; we choose you for friendship, beloved, valorous, like fathers exalting us.

ता वां॒ धियोऽव॑से वाज॒यन्ती॑रा॒जिं न ज॑ग्मुर्युव॒यूः सु॑दानू । श्रि॒ये न गाव॒ उप॒ सोम॑मस्थु॒रिन्द्रं॒ गिरो॒ वरु॑णं मे मनी॒षाः
tā vāṃ dhiyo'vase vājayantīrājiṃ na jagmuryuvayūḥ sudānū śriye na gāva upa somamasthurindraṃ giro varuṇaṃ me manīṣāḥ
May your minds, waxing, stir up the wide kingly might; the youthful generous ones did not grasp the bestowers. For wealth do not place Soma; let Indra, Varuṇa, be firm in my speech and thoughts.

इ॒मा इन्द्रं॒ वरु॑णं मे मनी॒षा अग्म॒न्नुप॒ द्रवि॑णमि॒च्छमा॑नाः । उपे॑मस्थुर्जो॒ष्टार॑ इव॒ वस्वो॑ र॒घ्वीरि॑व॒ श्रव॑सो॒ भिक्ष॑माणाः
imā indraṃ varuṇaṃ me manīṣā agmannupa draviṇamicchamānāḥ upemasthurjoṣṭāra iva vasvo raghvīriva śravaso bhikṣamāṇāḥ
These thoughts of Indra and Varuṇa, desiring to bestow wealth—may they flow to me. May the powerful ones approach like sovereigns, like swift messengers, the bringers of bounty asking alms.

अश्व्य॑स्य॒ त्मना॒ रथ्य॑स्य पु॒ष्टेर्नित्य॑स्य रा॒यः पत॑यः स्याम । ता च॑क्रा॒णा ऊ॒तिभि॒र्नव्य॑सीभिरस्म॒त्रा रायो॑ नि॒युतः॑ सचन्ताम्
aśvyasya tmanā rathyasya puṣṭernityasya rāyaḥ patayaḥ syāma tā cakrāṇā ūtibhirnavyasībhirasmatrā rāyo niyutaḥ sacantām
By the spirit of the swift horse and the chariot, prosperous and constant, may the realm, the rulers, and lords be ours. Let those circles by beams and newly yoked ones be driven here, may the treasures be appointed and abide.

आ नो॑ बृहन्ता बृह॒तीभि॑रू॒ती इन्द्र॑ या॒तं व॑रुण॒ वाज॑सातौ । यद्दि॒द्यवः॒ पृत॑नासु प्र॒क्रीळा॒न्तस्य॑ वां स्याम सनि॒तार॑ आ॒जेः
ā no bṛhantā bṛhatībhirūtī indra yātaṃ varuṇa vājasātau yaddidyavaḥ pṛtanāsu prakrīḷāntasya vāṃ syāma sanitāra ājeḥ
May the great ones grant us greatness with mighty ones—Indra, Varuṇa, in the pair of Vājas. When the shining ones sport among the battalions, may we be yours, united like resplendent chiefs of the dawn.
