indrā ha yo varuṇā cakra āpī devau martaḥ sakhyāya prayasvān sa hanti vṛtrā samitheṣu śatrūnavobhirvā mahadbhiḥ sa pra śaṛṇve
Indra who and Varuṇa together made the gods and men share fellowship; they slay the Vṛtra in battles, enemies before and around, mighty with great forces—listen to him.
Divine Indra and Varuṇa, the mortal diligent in offering (you) sacrificial food, who has through friendship made you his kinsmen, destroys (his own) sins, and his enemies in battle; and by your great favours he becomes renowned.
He who with dainty food hath won you, Indra and Varuna, Gods, as his allies to friendship, Jayeth the Vrtras and his foes in battles, and through your mighty favours is made famous.
