सखा॑यस्त्वा ववृमहे दे॒वं मर्ता॑स ऊ॒तये॑ । अ॒पां नपा॑तं सु॒भगं॑ सु॒दीदि॑तिं सु॒प्रतू॑र्तिमने॒हस॑म्
sakhāyastvā vavṛmahe devaṃ martāsa ūtaye apāṃ napātaṃ subhagaṃ sudīditiṃ supratūrtimanehasam
We have invoked you, friend, the god for mortal welfare at the dawn: the auspicious offspring of waters, the beautiful, the glorious, resplendent with ever-radiant might.

काय॑मानो व॒ना त्वं यन्मा॒तॄरज॑गन्न॒पः । न तत्ते॑ अग्ने प्र॒मृषे॑ नि॒वर्त॑नं॒ यद्दू॒रे सन्नि॒हाभ॑वः
kāyamāno vanā tvaṃ yanmātṝrajagannapaḥ na tatte agne pramṛṣe nivartanaṃ yaddūre sannihābhavaḥ
You, O forest-born, are the body of waters that arose from the mother; O Agni, that does not reject the offering—away is the turning back when the distant becomes near.

अति॑ तृ॒ष्टं व॑वक्षि॒थाथै॒व सु॒मना॑ असि । प्रप्रा॒न्ये यन्ति॒ पर्य॒न्य आ॑सते॒ येषां॑ स॒ख्ये असि॑ श्रि॒तः
ati tṛṣṭaṃ vavakṣithāthaiva sumanā asi praprānye yanti paryanya āsate yeṣāṃ sakhye asi śritaḥ
You have spoken too ardently—truly you are of good mind. They go to other places; those to whom I belong come near in whose friendship I have been placed.

ई॒यि॒वांस॒मति॒ स्रिधः॒ शश्व॑ती॒रति॑ स॒श्चतः॑ । अन्वी॑मविन्दन्निचि॒रासो॑ अ॒द्रुहो॒ऽप्सु सिं॒हमि॑व श्रि॒तम्
īyivāṃsamati sridhaḥ śaśvatīrati saścataḥ anvīmavindannicirāso adruho'psu siṃhamiva śritam
Like cows gathered together, the devotees, ever-flowing, proceed; they sought and found the long-sought one, like a lion in the waters, famed.

स॒सृ॒वांस॑मिव॒ त्मना॒ग्निमि॒त्था ति॒रोहि॑तम् । ऐनं॑ नयन्मात॒रिश्वा॑ परा॒वतो॑ दे॒वेभ्यो॑ मथि॒तं परि॑
sasṛvāṃsamiva tmanāgnimitthā tirohitam ainaṃ nayanmātariśvā parāvato devebhyo mathitaṃ pari
They poured forth like streams with their own mind, kindled as a fire that rose upward. Lead this (offering) forward, mothers' steeds, from beyond, brought near to the gods, enclosed about with thought.

तं त्वा॒ मर्ता॑ अगृभ्णत दे॒वेभ्यो॑ हव्यवाहन । विश्वा॒न्यद्य॒ज्ञाँ अ॑भि॒पासि॑ मानुष॒ तव॒ क्रत्वा॑ यविष्ठ्य
taṃ tvā martā agṛbhṇata devebhyo havyavāhana viśvānyadyajñām̐ abhipāsi mānuṣa tava kratvā yaviṣṭhya
Mortals took you up, bringing offerings to the gods. All these days you have protected the sacrifices; by human rite you placed the sacred grass.

तद्भ॒द्रं तव॑ दं॒सना॒ पाका॑य चिच्छदयति । त्वां यद॑ग्ने प॒शवः॑ स॒मास॑ते॒ समि॑द्धमपिशर्व॒रे
tadbhadraṃ tava daṃsanā pākāya cicchadayati tvāṃ yadagne paśavaḥ samāsate samiddhamapiśarvare
That prosperous thing, your bite, consumes the cooking; what, O Agni, the cattle assemble, the sacrificer burns up combined (in the fire).

आ जु॑होता स्वध्व॒रं शी॒रं पा॑व॒कशो॑चिषम् । आ॒शुं दू॒तम॑जि॒रं प्र॒त्नमीड्यं॑ श्रु॒ष्टी दे॒वं स॑पर्यत
ā juhotā svadhvaraṃ śīraṃ pāvakaśociṣam āśuṃ dūtamajiraṃ pratnamīḍyaṃ śruṣṭī devaṃ saparyata
Bring the offering to the sacred place, the milk-like, fire-pure, the purifier. Send quickly the messenger in haste, the approaching, the bringer who supports the god with song.

त्रीणि॑ श॒ता त्री स॒हस्रा॑ण्य॒ग्निं त्रिं॒शच्च॑ दे॒वा नव॑ चासपर्यन् । औक्ष॑न्घृ॒तैरस्तृ॑णन्ब॒र्हिर॑स्मा॒ आदिद्धोता॑रं॒ न्य॑सादयन्त
trīṇi śatā trī sahasrāṇyagniṃ triṃśacca devā nava cāsaparyan aukṣanghṛtairastṛṇanbarhirasmā ādiddhotāraṃ nyasādayanta
Three hundred, three thousand, an agni of thirty and nine beside—the gods completed the offerings. With clarified butter and grass, they set down the placed oblation in the outer place.
