स॒सृ॒वांस॑मिव॒ त्मना॒ग्निमि॒त्था ति॒रोहि॑तम् । ऐनं॑ नयन्मात॒रिश्वा॑ परा॒वतो॑ दे॒वेभ्यो॑ मथि॒तं परि॑
sasṛvāṃsamiva tmanāgnimitthā tirohitam ainaṃ nayanmātariśvā parāvato devebhyo mathitaṃ pari
They poured forth like streams with their own mind, kindled as a fire that rose upward. Lead this (offering) forward, mothers' steeds, from beyond, brought near to the gods, enclosed about with thought.
Mātariśvan therefore brought for the gods from afar, Agni, hiding of himself, and genitive rated by attrition, as (a father brings back) a fugitive (son).
Him wandering at his own free will, Agni here hidden from our view, Him Matarisvan brought to us from far away produced by friction, from the Gods.
