taṃ tvā martā agṛbhṇata devebhyo havyavāhana viśvānyadyajñām̐ abhipāsi mānuṣa tava kratvā yaviṣṭhya
Mortals took you up, bringing offerings to the gods. All these days you have protected the sacrifices; by human rite you placed the sacred grass.
Bearer of oblations, men apprehend you (thus concealed) for the service of the gods, and that you youngest (of the deities) and friendly to manking, may recompense by your acts all their pious rites.
O Bearer of Oblations, thus mortals received thee from the Gods, Whilst thou, the Friend of man, guardest each sacrifice with thine own power, Most Youthful One.
