अ॒यं स यस्य॒ शर्म॒न्नवो॑भिर॒ग्नेरेध॑ते जरि॒ताभिष्टौ॑ । ज्येष्ठे॑भि॒र्यो भा॒नुभि॑रृषू॒णां प॒र्येति॒ परि॑वीतो वि॒भावा॑
ayaṃ sa yasya śarmannavobhiragneredhate jaritābhiṣṭau jyeṣṭhebhiryo bhānubhirṛṣūṇāṃ paryeti parivīto vibhāvā
This which gives glory—O Agni, it leads in your favors for longed wishes. Among the elders it goes with the shining ones, encircling with radiant might.

यो भा॒नुभि॑र्वि॒भावा॑ वि॒भात्य॒ग्निर्दे॒वेभि॑रृ॒तावाज॑स्रः । आ यो वि॒वाय॑ स॒ख्या सखि॒भ्योऽप॑रिह्वृतो॒ अत्यो॒ न सप्तिः॑
yo bhānubhirvibhāvā vibhātyagnirdevebhirṛtāvājasraḥ ā yo vivāya sakhyā sakhibhyo'parihvṛto atyo na saptiḥ
He who with shining ones illumines—Agni shines among the gods with abundant vows. He who is separate gave friendship; not even seven have been able to seize him from friends.

ईशे॒ यो विश्व॑स्या दे॒ववी॑ते॒रीशे॑ वि॒श्वायु॑रु॒षसो॒ व्यु॑ष्टौ । आ यस्मि॑न्म॒ना ह॒वींष्य॒ग्नावरि॑ष्टरथः स्क॒भ्नाति॑ शू॒षैः
īśe yo viśvasyā devavīterīśe viśvāyuruṣaso vyuṣṭau ā yasminmanā havīṃṣyagnāvariṣṭarathaḥ skabhnāti śūṣaiḥ
He who is lord of the universe, god-loved, lord of long life, spread abroad. From whom in mind the sacrificer pours, the charioteer whose course is sprinkled with drops arises.

शू॒षेभि॑र्वृ॒धो जु॑षा॒णो अ॒र्कैर्दे॒वाँ अच्छा॑ रघु॒पत्वा॑ जिगाति । म॒न्द्रो होता॒ स जु॒ह्वा॒३॒॑ यजि॑ष्ठः॒ सम्मि॑श्लो अ॒ग्निरा जि॑घर्ति दे॒वान्
śūṣebhirvṛdho juṣāṇo arkairdevām̐ acchā raghupatvā jigāti mandro hotā sa juhvā3 yajiṣṭhaḥ sammiślo agnirā jigharti devān
With dry ones grows the libation-pouring vigor; the rays, gods' champions, shine forth, and the generous priest, offering, fights the gods.

तमु॒स्रामिन्द्रं॒ न रेज॑मानम॒ग्निं गी॒र्भिर्नमो॑भि॒रा कृ॑णुध्वम् । आ यं विप्रा॑सो म॒तिभि॑र्गृ॒णन्ति॑ जा॒तवे॑दसं जु॒ह्वं॑ स॒हाना॑म्
tamusrāmindraṃ na rejamānamagniṃ gīrbhirnamobhirā kṛṇudhvam ā yaṃ viprāso matibhirgṛṇanti jātavedasaṃ juhvaṃ sahānām
Do not leave Indra in darkness, nor Agni unpraised; make prayers with hymns. May those wise in counsels acclaim him, the Jātavedas, offering together.

सं यस्मि॒न्विश्वा॒ वसू॑नि ज॒ग्मुर्वाजे॒ नाश्वाः॒ सप्ती॑वन्त॒ एवैः॑ । अ॒स्मे ऊ॒तीरिन्द्र॑वाततमा अर्वाची॒ना अ॑ग्न॒ आ कृ॑णुष्व
saṃ yasminviśvā vasūni jagmurvāje nāśvāḥ saptīvanta evaiḥ asme ūtīrindravātatamā arvācīnā agna ā kṛṇuṣva
In whom all treasures lived—they entered the chant, the swift steeds were sevenfold. O Agni, do thou perform for us the highest revealing word, uplift thou the flood of Indra.

अधा॒ ह्य॑ग्ने म॒ह्ना नि॒षद्या॑ स॒द्यो ज॑ज्ञा॒नो हव्यो॑ ब॒भूथ॑ । तं ते॑ दे॒वासो॒ अनु॒ केत॑माय॒न्नधा॑वर्धन्त प्रथ॒मास॒ ऊमाः॑
adhā hyagne mahnā niṣadyā sadyo jajñāno havyo babhūtha taṃ te devāso anu ketamāyannadhāvardhanta prathamāsa ūmāḥ
Below, O Agni, loud one, he was thrust down; immediately the knowing rite became the oblation. Followed by the gods, they ran under the flag; the first Umas increased.
