शू॒षेभि॑र्वृ॒धो जु॑षा॒णो अ॒र्कैर्दे॒वाँ अच्छा॑ रघु॒पत्वा॑ जिगाति । म॒न्द्रो होता॒ स जु॒ह्वा॒३॒॑ यजि॑ष्ठः॒ सम्मि॑श्लो अ॒ग्निरा जि॑घर्ति दे॒वान्
śūṣebhirvṛdho juṣāṇo arkairdevām̐ acchā raghupatvā jigāti mandro hotā sa juhvā3 yajiṣṭhaḥ sammiślo agnirā jigharti devān
With dry ones grows the libation-pouring vigor; the rays, gods' champions, shine forth, and the generous priest, offering, fights the gods.
Magnified by our oblations, propitiated by our praises, swift-moving, he proceeds to the presence ofthe gods; the adorable invoker of the deities, most entitled to worship, associated (with the gods). Agni presentsto them (the oblation) with the sacrificial ladle.
Increasing by his strength. while lauds content him, with easy flight unto the Gods he travels. Agni the cheerful Priest, best Sacrificer, balms with his tongue the Gods with whom he mingles.
