के॒श्य१॒॑ग्निं के॒शी वि॒षं के॒शी बि॑भर्ति॒ रोद॑सी । के॒शी विश्वं॒ स्व॑र्दृ॒शे के॒शीदं ज्योति॑रुच्यते
keśya1gniṃ keśī viṣaṃ keśī bibharti rodasī keśī viśvaṃ svardṛśe keśīdaṃ jyotirucyate
Keśī bears fire, Keśī bears poison, Keśī bears the morning tear. Keśī is seen in all the heavens; Keśī is named brilliant light.

मुन॑यो॒ वात॑रशनाः पि॒शङ्गा॑ वसते॒ मला॑ । वात॒स्यानु॒ ध्राजिं॑ यन्ति॒ यद्दे॒वासो॒ अवि॑क्षत
munayo vātaraśanāḥ piśaṅgā vasate malā vātasyānu dhrājiṃ yanti yaddevāso avikṣata
Seers, borne on the winds, the Pishangas dwell in filth. They follow the wind’s course to the refuge which the gods beheld.

उन्म॑दिता॒ मौने॑येन॒ वाता॒ँ आ त॑स्थिमा व॒यम् । शरी॒रेद॒स्माकं॑ यू॒यं मर्ता॑सो अ॒भि प॑श्यथ
unmaditā mauneyena vātām̐ ā tasthimā vayam śarīredasmākaṃ yūyaṃ martāso abhi paśyatha
Drunk with silence, with the winds we stood; you beheld in the body of us mortals.

अ॒न्तरि॑क्षेण पतति॒ विश्वा॑ रू॒पाव॒चाक॑शत् । मुनि॑र्दे॒वस्य॑देवस्य॒ सौकृ॑त्याय॒ सखा॑ हि॒तः
antarikṣeṇa patati viśvā rūpāvacākaśat munirdevasyadevasya saukṛtyāya sakhā hitaḥ
Through the midst of the atmosphere all forms shone forth. The sage, friend of the god of gods, for the sake of goodness was favorable.

वात॒स्याश्वो॑ वा॒योः सखाथो॑ दे॒वेषि॑तो॒ मुनिः॑ । उ॒भौ स॑मु॒द्रावा क्षे॑ति॒ यश्च॒ पूर्व॑ उ॒ताप॑रः
vātasyāśvo vāyoḥ sakhātho deveṣito muniḥ ubhau samudrāvā kṣeti yaśca pūrva utāparaḥ
The steeds of the wind or the friend of Vāyu — the sage honored the gods. Both, like oceans, roam; one is the former, the other the latter heat.

अ॒प्स॒रसां॑ गन्ध॒र्वाणां॑ मृ॒गाणां॒ चर॑णे॒ चर॑न् । के॒शी केत॑स्य वि॒द्वान्सखा॑ स्वा॒दुर्म॒दिन्त॑मः
apsarasāṃ gandharvāṇāṃ mṛgāṇāṃ caraṇe caran keśī ketasya vidvānsakhā svādurmadintamaḥ
Among apsaras, gandharvas, and deer grazing on the plains, who is the wise friend of Keśī that delights the assembly?

वा॒युर॑स्मा॒ उपा॑मन्थत्पि॒नष्टि॑ स्मा कुनन्न॒मा । के॒शी वि॒षस्य॒ पात्रे॑ण॒ यद्रु॒द्रेणापि॑बत्स॒ह
vāyurasmā upāmanthatpinaṣṭi smā kunannamā keśī viṣasya pātreṇa yadrudreṇāpibatsaha
The wind warmed us; we were swept away, O Kunan(nāma). Keśī, even with Rudra’s vessel of poison, bore it.
