इन्द्र॒ पिब॑ प्रतिका॒मं सु॒तस्य॑ प्रातःसा॒वस्तव॒ हि पू॒र्वपी॑तिः । हर्ष॑स्व॒ हन्त॑वे शूर॒ शत्रू॑नु॒क्थेभि॑ष्टे वी॒र्या॒३॒॑ प्र ब्र॑वाम
indra piba pratikāmaṃ sutasya prātaḥsāvastava hi pūrvapītiḥ harṣasva hantave śūra śatrūnukthebhiṣṭe vīryā3 pra bravāma
Indra, drink the wished portion at dawn; your ancient draught is this morning’s. Be glad; may the hero drink down the enemies spoken of, I declare strength for the mighty.

यस्ते॒ रथो॒ मन॑सो॒ जवी॑या॒नेन्द्र॒ तेन॑ सोम॒पेया॑य याहि । तूय॒मा ते॒ हर॑यः॒ प्र द्र॑वन्तु॒ येभि॒र्यासि॒ वृष॑भि॒र्मन्द॑मानः
yaste ratho manaso javīyānendra tena somapeyāya yāhi tūyamā te harayaḥ pra dravantu yebhiryāsi vṛṣabhirmandamānaḥ
He whose chariot and mind are strong like Indra’s may come to the Soma—may you, O heroes, the plundering bulls, be carried off by those who strive.

हरि॑त्वता॒ वर्च॑सा॒ सूर्य॑स्य॒ श्रेष्ठै॑ रू॒पैस्त॒न्वं॑ स्पर्शयस्व । अ॒स्माभि॑रिन्द्र॒ सखि॑भिर्हुवा॒नः स॑ध्रीची॒नो मा॑दयस्वा नि॒षद्य॑
haritvatā varcasā sūryasya śreṣṭhai rūpaistanvaṃ sparśayasva asmābhirindra sakhibhirhuvānaḥ sadhrīcīno mādayasvā niṣadya
With the radiance of Hari and splendour like the sun’s best forms, touch the body. May Indra’s friendly ones sing to us; O Sadhriči, delight not but seat yourself.

यस्य॒ त्यत्ते॑ महि॒मानं॒ मदे॑ष्वि॒मे म॒ही रोद॑सी॒ नावि॑विक्ताम् । तदोक॒ आ हरि॑भिरिन्द्र यु॒क्तैः प्रि॒येभि॑र्याहि प्रि॒यमन्न॒मच्छ॑
yasya tyatte mahimānaṃ madeṣvime mahī rodasī nāviviktām tadoka ā haribhirindra yuktaiḥ priyebhiryāhi priyamannamaccha
He who renounced great glory among these lands—these earths wept not openly. Take up that oblation with the Hari-Indras, joined with beloved friends; go to the beloved food and receive it.

यस्य॒ शश्व॑त्पपि॒वाँ इ॑न्द्र॒ शत्रू॑ननानुकृ॒त्या रण्या॑ च॒कर्थ॑ । स ते॒ पुरं॑धिं॒ तवि॑षीमियर्ति॒ स ते॒ मदा॑य सु॒त इ॑न्द्र॒ सोमः॑
yasya śaśvatpapivām̐ indra śatrūnanānukṛtyā raṇyā cakartha sa te puraṃdhiṃ taviṣīmiyarti sa te madāya suta indra somaḥ
He by whom Indra, ever-drinking, vanquished many foes and made the battlefield—he brought down the city’s might; he, O Soma-drunk Indra, is full of pride and might.

इ॒दं ते॒ पात्रं॒ सन॑वित्तमिन्द्र॒ पिबा॒ सोम॑मे॒ना श॑तक्रतो । पू॒र्ण आ॑हा॒वो म॑दि॒रस्य॒ मध्वो॒ यं विश्व॒ इद॑भि॒हर्य॑न्ति दे॒वाः
idaṃ te pātraṃ sanavittamindra pibā somamenā śatakrato pūrṇa āhāvo madirasya madhvo yaṃ viśva idabhiharyanti devāḥ
This vessel is yours, Indra: drink the hundred-praised Soma, O maker of many deeds. The full call of the drink, the honeyed draught which the gods extract from these vats, call forth.

वि हि त्वामि॑न्द्र पुरु॒धा जना॑सो हि॒तप्र॑यसो वृषभ॒ ह्वय॑न्ते । अ॒स्माकं॑ ते॒ मधु॑मत्तमानी॒मा भु॑व॒न्सव॑ना॒ तेषु॑ हर्य
vi hi tvāmindra purudhā janāso hitaprayaso vṛṣabha hvayante asmākaṃ te madhumattamānīmā bhuvansavanā teṣu harya
Indeed I praise you, Indra, lord of the many peoples; bulls call you for welfare and benefit. Our sweetest ones, made drunk by you, may they be taken—make them joyous in offerings.

प्र त॑ इन्द्र पू॒र्व्याणि॒ प्र नू॒नं वी॒र्या॑ वोचं प्रथ॒मा कृ॒तानि॑ । स॒ती॒नम॑न्युरश्रथायो॒ अद्रिं॑ सुवेद॒नाम॑कृणो॒र्ब्रह्म॑णे॒ गाम्
pra ta indra pūrvyāṇi pra nūnaṃ vīryā vocaṃ prathamā kṛtāni satīnamanyuraśrathāyo adriṃ suvedanāmakṛṇorbrahmaṇe gām
Before all, Indra declared the first mighty deeds to you: he gave oxen to the chariot-driver, made him a knower of the Vedic songs. He bestowed the cow to the Brahman.

नि षु सी॑द गणपते ग॒णेषु॒ त्वामा॑हु॒र्विप्र॑तमं कवी॒नाम् । न ऋ॒ते त्वत्क्रि॑यते॒ किं च॒नारे म॒हाम॒र्कं म॑घवञ्चि॒त्रम॑र्च
ni ṣu sīda gaṇapate gaṇeṣu tvāmāhurvipratamaṃ kavīnām na ṛte tvatkriyate kiṃ canāre mahāmarkaṃ maghavañcitramarca
In the assemblies sit thou, leader of poets; they call you foremost among seers. Nothing is done rightly without you—what then of the great sun, the wondrous worship?

अ॒भि॒ख्या नो॑ मघव॒न्नाध॑माना॒न्सखे॑ बो॒धि व॑सुपते॒ सखी॑नाम् । रणं॑ कृधि रणकृत्सत्यशु॒ष्माभ॑क्ते चि॒दा भ॑जा रा॒ये अ॒स्मान्
abhikhyā no maghavannādhamānānsakhe bodhi vasupate sakhīnām raṇaṃ kṛdhi raṇakṛtsatyaśuṣmābhakte cidā bhajā rāye asmān
Declare for us, O generous one, what the lowly have gained; make known, O lord of wealth, the friends. Wield war, produce the truthful warrior; bestow us upon the kingdom.
