यस्य॒ शश्व॑त्पपि॒वाँ इ॑न्द्र॒ शत्रू॑ननानुकृ॒त्या रण्या॑ च॒कर्थ॑ । स ते॒ पुरं॑धिं॒ तवि॑षीमियर्ति॒ स ते॒ मदा॑य सु॒त इ॑न्द्र॒ सोमः॑
yasya śaśvatpapivām̐ indra śatrūnanānukṛtyā raṇyā cakartha sa te puraṃdhiṃ taviṣīmiyarti sa te madāya suta indra somaḥ
He by whom Indra, ever-drinking, vanquished many foes and made the battlefield—he brought down the city’s might; he, O Soma-drunk Indra, is full of pride and might.
That Soma, drinking constantly of which, Indra you have destroyed the enemies (of the worshipper)with an inimitable weapon-- that Soma prompts your powerful, abundant (laudation), it is effused Indra, for yourexhilaration.
Pressed for thy joyous banquet is the Soma, Soma whereof thou, Indra, ever drinking, Hast waged unequalled battles with thy foemen, which prompts the mighty flow of thine abundance.
