iṣurna dhanvanprati dhīyate matirvatso na māturupa sarjyūdhani urudhāreva duhe agra āyatyasya vrateṣvapi soma iṣyate
Aiming at bows, the mind is fixed on wealth; broad-minded thought is not produced by the mother in the battleground. Lifting the chariot-pole he came forward; even in vows Soma is sought.

upo matiḥ pṛcyate sicyate madhu mandrājanī codate antarāsani pavamānaḥ saṃtaniḥ praghnatāmiva madhumāndrapsaḥ pari vāramarṣati
An inner counsel is questioned; the honey flows; the lordly one urges from the inner seat. The purifier, the begetter, I overcome as if a honey-desirer; he drives around to grant the boon.

The bridal ones, unerring, fly around the waters, stripping the skin of the sacrificer; the earth-born secret stirred the man’s pride. The calf of the bull does not shine by heroism.

The herds go to the prayerful offering of the god; the goddesses go forth unbound. Mighty Arjun moved beyond the vow; Soma did not fail around.

Anointed with nectar, the reddish-hued garment of Hari became spread around him; the heaven-touched wore the glowing raiment. The sacrificial covering and the ash of the sky were made.

sūryasyeva raśmayo drāvayitnavo matsarāsaḥ prasupaḥ sākamīrate tantuṃ tataṃ pari sargāsa āśavo nendrādṛte pavate dhāma kiṃ cana
Like the sun’s rays he melts away rivals, the jealous ones; the slumbering one shares the bed. The threads of that creation were bound around; the places of the gods are purified.

Like the Sindhu flowing down, the streams poured forth, their bulls mounting in frenzy, reaching full of might. May they settle for us in two-footed and four-footed forms; may the Soma's powers remain.

Bring us the wealth of the purifier, the Vasus, O priests, the steeds, the cows, the best of heroes. You indeed, O Soma, fathers, have placed my breast among the high ones, advanced and made mature.

These Somas, the purifying ones, like chariots went to Indra. The purified sons go to the sacred seat; having slain the foe they bring down the rain from Harita.

Indra, for the great Lord Indra, the purifier shines with mighty lustre, unapproachable, the seers praised. They call forth the moons and the riches; the gods and heavens and earth bring forth for us.
