अद॑र्शि गातु॒वित्त॑मो॒ यस्मि॑न्व्र॒तान्या॑द॒धुः । उपो॒ षु जा॒तमार्य॑स्य॒ वर्ध॑नम॒ग्निं न॑क्षन्त नो॒ गिरः॑
adarśi gātuvittamo yasminvratānyādadhuḥ upo ṣu jātamāryasya vardhanamagniṃ nakṣanta no giraḥ
I saw the most excellent singer in whom vows were established; born to the noble, he nourished Agni and did not neglect our praise.

प्र दैवो॑दासो अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वाँ अच्छा॒ न म॒ज्मना॑ । अनु॑ मा॒तरं॑ पृथि॒वीं वि वा॑वृते त॒स्थौ नाक॑स्य॒ सान॑वि
pra daivodāso agnirdevām̐ acchā na majmanā anu mātaraṃ pṛthivīṃ vi vāvṛte tasthau nākasya sānavi
Agni, the giver of divine gifts, do not be angry at the gods or hostile; do not, like a mother, turn the earth away—stand firm, not inclined to harm.

यस्मा॒द्रेज॑न्त कृ॒ष्टय॑श्च॒र्कृत्या॑नि कृण्व॒तः । स॒ह॒स्र॒सां मे॒धसा॑ताविव॒ त्मना॒ग्निं धी॒भिः स॑पर्यत
yasmādrejanta kṛṣṭayaścarkṛtyāni kṛṇvataḥ sahasrasāṃ medhasātāviva tmanāgniṃ dhībhiḥ saparyata
Since the inspired ones and mighty seers made abundant rites, with thousands of minds they invoked Agni with wise powers.

प्र यं रा॒ये निनी॑षसि॒ मर्तो॒ यस्ते॑ वसो॒ दाश॑त् । स वी॒रं ध॑त्ते अग्न उक्थशं॒सिनं॒ त्मना॑ सहस्रपो॒षिण॑म्
pra yaṃ rāye ninīṣasi marto yaste vaso dāśat sa vīraṃ dhatte agna ukthaśaṃsinaṃ tmanā sahasrapoṣiṇam
To him for whom you strive for wealth, mortals give treasure; Agni places heroic strength, praising the hymn-bearer, nurturing a thousandfold.

स दृ॒ळ्हे चि॑द॒भि तृ॑णत्ति॒ वाज॒मर्व॑ता॒ स ध॑त्ते॒ अक्षि॑ति॒ श्रवः॑ । त्वे दे॑व॒त्रा सदा॑ पुरूवसो॒ विश्वा॑ वा॒मानि॑ धीमहि
sa dṛḷhe cidabhi tṛṇatti vājamarvatā sa dhatte akṣiti śravaḥ tve devatrā sadā purūvaso viśvā vāmāni dhīmahi
He bestowed strength and cognition; he granted vigor to the wealth-bearing chariot. We meditate on thee, O gods, who are ever the protectors of the people, the dispellers of strife.

यो विश्वा॒ दय॑ते॒ वसु॒ होता॑ म॒न्द्रो जना॑नाम् । मधो॒र्न पात्रा॑ प्रथ॒मान्य॑स्मै॒ प्र स्तोमा॑ यन्त्य॒ग्नये॑
yo viśvā dayate vasu hotā mandro janānām madhorna pātrā prathamānyasmai pra stomā yantyagnaye
He who bestows all riches became the sacrificer, the giver of people; first they offer him the sweet ladle as oblation to Agni.

अश्वं॒ न गी॒र्भी र॒थ्यं॑ सु॒दान॑वो मर्मृ॒ज्यन्ते॑ देव॒यवः॑ । उ॒भे तो॒के तन॑ये दस्म विश्पते॒ पर्षि॒ राधो॑ म॒घोना॑म्
aśvaṃ na gīrbhī rathyaṃ sudānavo marmṛjyante devayavaḥ ubhe toke tanaye dasma viśpate parṣi rādho maghonām
Horses are yoked, voices mount the chariot; generous onsets are set ablaze, the gods are invoked. Both offspring of the giver, tenfold, O lord, drive the rich ones onward.

प्र मंहि॑ष्ठाय गायत ऋ॒ताव्ने॑ बृह॒ते शु॒क्रशो॑चिषे । उप॑स्तुतासो अ॒ग्नये॑
pra maṃhiṣṭhāya gāyata ṛtāvne bṛhate śukraśociṣe upastutāso agnaye
I invoke him, steadfast in seasons, the mighty, bright sage, the radiant one who laments not; they have praised Agni who is acclaimed.

आ वं॑सते म॒घवा॑ वी॒रव॒द्यशः॒ समि॑द्धो द्यु॒म्न्याहु॑तः । कु॒विन्नो॑ अस्य सुम॒तिर्नवी॑य॒स्यच्छा॒ वाजे॑भिरा॒गम॑त्
ā vaṃsate maghavā vīravadyaśaḥ samiddho dyumnyāhutaḥ kuvinno asya sumatirnavīyasyacchā vājebhirāgamat
We celebrate the glorious, heroic Magnanimous, proclaimed in heaven; may his excellent new wisdom come upon this splendid wealth by the swift cows.

preṣṭhamu priyāṇāṃ stuhyāsāvātithim agniṃ rathānāṃ yamam
Most honored among the beloved, praised in assemblies, the Agni of chariots and goal.

उदि॑ता॒ यो निदि॑ता॒ वेदि॑ता॒ वस्वा य॒ज्ञियो॑ व॒वर्त॑ति । दु॒ष्टरा॒ यस्य॑ प्रव॒णे नोर्मयो॑ धि॒या वाजं॒ सिषा॑सतः
uditā yo niditā veditā vasvā yajñiyo vavartati duṣṭarā yasya pravaṇe normayo dhiyā vājaṃ siṣāsataḥ
He who is risen, who is well known, who knows wealth and the rites — the sacrificer proceeds. May not the hostile one who plots harm for us seize our strength and wealth.

मा नो॑ हृणीता॒मति॑थि॒र्वसु॑र॒ग्निः पु॑रुप्रश॒स्त ए॒षः । यः सु॒होता॑ स्वध्व॒रः
mā no hṛṇītāmatithirvasuragniḥ purupraśasta eṣaḥ yaḥ suhotā svadhvaraḥ
Do not deprive us, guest-esteemed Vasur-Agni, the foremost praised among people; he who is well-invited is our protector.

मो ते रि॑ष॒न्ये अच्छो॑क्तिभिर्व॒सोऽग्ने॒ केभि॑श्चि॒देवैः॑ । की॒रिश्चि॒द्धि त्वामीट्टे॑ दू॒त्या॑य रा॒तह॑व्यः स्वध्व॒रः
mo te riṣanye acchoktibhirvaso'gne kebhiścidevaiḥ kīriściddhi tvāmīṭṭe dūtyāya rātahavyaḥ svadhvaraḥ
May those glorious hymns and spoken praises protect you, O Agni, by some celestial beings. Glory and power be to you, messenger, priest of the night-sacrifice and guardian of the offerings.

आग्ने॑ याहि म॒रुत्स॑खा रु॒द्रेभिः॒ सोम॑पीतये । सोभ॑र्या॒ उप॑ सुष्टु॒तिं मा॒दय॑स्व॒ स्व॑र्णरे
āgne yāhi marutsakhā rudrebhiḥ somapītaye sobharyā upa suṣṭutiṃ mādayasva svarṇare
Agni, go to join the Marut-friends and Rudras for the pressing of soma; bring the favorable praise; make splendid the gold-held rites.
