अबो॑धि जा॒र उ॒षसा॑मु॒पस्था॒द्धोता॑ म॒न्द्रः क॒वित॑मः पाव॒कः । दधा॑ति के॒तुमु॒भय॑स्य ज॒न्तोर्ह॒व्या दे॒वेषु॒ द्रवि॑णं सु॒कृत्सु॑
abodhi jāra uṣasāmupasthāddhotā mandraḥ kavitamaḥ pāvakaḥ dadhāti ketumubhayasya jantorhavyā deveṣu draviṇaṃ sukṛtsu
He rose at dawn, brightener by the eastern flood, the gentle poet, the purifier—he sets the banner of both living beings; the seer's oblation for the gods flows as wealth in good acts.

स सु॒क्रतु॒र्यो वि दुरः॑ पणी॒नां पु॑ना॒नो अ॒र्कं पु॑रु॒भोज॑सं नः । होता॑ म॒न्द्रो वि॒शां दमू॑नास्ति॒रस्तमो॑ ददृशे रा॒म्याणा॑म्
sa sukraturyo vi duraḥ paṇīnāṃ punāno arkaṃ purubhojasaṃ naḥ hotā mandro viśāṃ damūnāstirastamo dadṛśe rāmyāṇām
He, the well-formed sacrificer, strong in good deeds, draws forth the sunlike light for our share. The gentle priest, Agni, has seen the regions; he made the fields lovely with medicinal plants.

अमू॑रः क॒विरदि॑तिर्वि॒वस्वा॑न्सुसं॒सन्मि॒त्रो अति॑थिः शि॒वो नः॑ । चि॒त्रभा॑नुरु॒षसां॑ भा॒त्यग्रे॒ऽपां गर्भः॑ प्र॒स्व१॒॑ आ वि॑वेश
amūraḥ kaviraditirvivasvānsusaṃsanmitro atithiḥ śivo naḥ citrabhānuruṣasāṃ bhātyagre'pāṃ garbhaḥ prasva1 ā viveśa
The unthinking seer Aditi, splendid like Vivasvan and the sun, Mitra the guest, auspicious to us. The radiant Chitrabhanu, lord of the dawns, bore forth the womb of waters and entered mightily.

ई॒ळेन्यो॑ वो॒ मनु॑षो यु॒गेषु॑ समन॒गा अ॑शुचज्जा॒तवे॑दाः । सु॒सं॒दृशा॑ भा॒नुना॒ यो वि॒भाति॒ प्रति॒ गावः॑ समिधा॒नं बु॑धन्त
īḷenyo vo manuṣo yugeṣu samanagā aśucajjātavedāḥ susaṃdṛśā bhānunā yo vibhāti prati gāvaḥ samidhānaṃ budhanta
With a ritual formula you, men, are united in ages, impure in birth yet knowing the Vedas. Like the radiant sun that appears with beholding, they perceive the offering placed before the cows.

अग्ने॑ या॒हि दू॒त्यं१॒॑ मा रि॑षण्यो दे॒वाँ अच्छा॑ ब्रह्म॒कृता॑ ग॒णेन॑ । सर॑स्वतीं म॒रुतो॑ अ॒श्विना॒पो यक्षि॑ दे॒वान्र॑त्न॒धेया॑य॒ विश्वा॑न्
agne yāhi dūtyaṃ1 mā riṣaṇyo devām̐ acchā brahmakṛtā gaṇena sarasvatīṃ maruto aśvināpo yakṣi devānratnadheyāya viśvān
O Agni, go as messenger; do not destroy the gods. Bring the gods made by Brahma with their host. May Sarasvati, the Maruts, the Ashvins, and the waters — the attendants of the gods — be preserved.

त्वाम॑ग्ने समिधा॒नो वसि॑ष्ठो॒ जरू॑थं ह॒न्यक्षि॑ रा॒ये पुरं॑धिम् । पु॒रु॒णी॒था जा॑तवेदो जरस्व यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः
tvāmagne samidhāno vasiṣṭho jarūthaṃ hanyakṣi rāye puraṃdhim puruṇīthā jātavedo jarasva yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
Agni, you who are Vasistha among sacrificers, you will strike down the aged ruin and slay the foeman; protect the city’s lord. O ancient-born Jātavedas, be ever our keeper with auspiciousness.
