स सु॒क्रतु॒र्यो वि दुरः॑ पणी॒नां पु॑ना॒नो अ॒र्कं पु॑रु॒भोज॑सं नः । होता॑ म॒न्द्रो वि॒शां दमू॑नास्ति॒रस्तमो॑ ददृशे रा॒म्याणा॑म्
sa sukraturyo vi duraḥ paṇīnāṃ punāno arkaṃ purubhojasaṃ naḥ hotā mandro viśāṃ damūnāstirastamo dadṛśe rāmyāṇām
He, the well-formed sacrificer, strong in good deeds, draws forth the sunlike light for our share. The gentle priest, Agni, has seen the regions; he made the fields lovely with medicinal plants.
He, the doer of great deeds, who forced open the doors of the Paṇis, recovered for us the sacredfood-bestowing (herd of kine), he who is the invoker of the gods, the giver of delight to the lowly-minded, is seenof all people dissipating the gloom of the nights.
Most wise is he who, forcing doors of Panis, brought the bright Sun to us who feedeth many. The cheerful Priest, men's Friend and home-companion, through still night's darkness he is made apparent.
