यु॒वां न॑रा॒ पश्य॑मानास॒ आप्यं॑ प्रा॒चा ग॒व्यन्तः॑ पृथु॒पर्श॑वो ययुः । दासा॑ च वृ॒त्रा ह॒तमार्या॑णि च सु॒दास॑मिन्द्रावरु॒णाव॑सावतम्
yuvāṃ narā paśyamānāsa āpyaṃ prācā gavyantaḥ pṛthuparśavo yayuḥ dāsā ca vṛtrā hatamāryāṇi ca sudāsamindrāvaruṇāvasāvatam
You men, beholding, came forward from the east like kine lowing widely; slaves, Vrtra, the slaughtered Maruts, and Sudasa, with Indra and Varuna, arrived.

यत्रा॒ नरः॑ स॒मय॑न्ते कृ॒तध्व॑जो॒ यस्मि॑न्ना॒जा भव॑ति॒ किं च॒न प्रि॒यम् । यत्रा॒ भय॑न्ते॒ भुव॑ना स्व॒र्दृश॒स्तत्रा॑ न इन्द्रावरु॒णाधि॑ वोचतम्
yatrā naraḥ samayante kṛtadhvajo yasminnājā bhavati kiṃ cana priyam yatrā bhayante bhuvanā svardṛśastatrā na indrāvaruṇādhi vocatam
Where men unite, where the sacred flag stands, where food becomes offspring and all is dear; where the worlds fear and the seers behold, there Indra and Varuna spoke to you.

सं भूम्या॒ अन्ता॑ ध्वसि॒रा अ॑दृक्ष॒तेन्द्रा॑वरुणा दि॒वि घोष॒ आरु॑हत् । अस्थु॒र्जना॑ना॒मुप॒ मामरा॑तयो॒ऽर्वागव॑सा हवनश्रु॒ता ग॑तम्
saṃ bhūmyā antā dhvasirā adṛkṣatendrāvaruṇā divi ghoṣa āruhat asthurjanānāmupa māmarātayo'rvāgavasā havanaśrutā gatam
They overthrew the ends of the earth; Indra and Varuna mounted the heavens with proclamation. May they be for the mortal folk a refuge, the famed offerings’ hearers, coming with oblations.

इन्द्रा॑वरुणा व॒धना॑भिरप्र॒ति भे॒दं व॒न्वन्ता॒ प्र सु॒दास॑मावतम् । ब्रह्मा॑ण्येषां शृणुतं॒ हवी॑मनि स॒त्या तृत्सू॑नामभवत्पु॒रोहि॑तिः
indrāvaruṇā vadhanābhiraprati bhedaṃ vanvantā pra sudāsamāvatam brahmāṇyeṣāṃ śaṛṇutaṃ havīmani satyā tṛtsūnāmabhavatpurohitiḥ
Indra and Varuna, with invincible forces, sundered the hostile foes; they brought together the Sudasa-assembled [people]. Hear the true praise of those brāhmanas; the priestly office became of three streams.

इन्द्रा॑वरुणाव॒भ्या त॑पन्ति मा॒घान्य॒र्यो व॒नुषा॒मरा॑तयः । यु॒वं हि वस्व॑ उ॒भय॑स्य॒ राज॒थोऽध॑ स्मा नोऽवतं॒ पार्ये॑ दि॒वि
indrāvaruṇāvabhyā tapanti māghānyaryo vanuṣāmarātayaḥ yuvaṃ hi vasva ubhayasya rājatho'dha smā no'vataṃ pārye divi
Indra and Varuna are worshipped by the noble Maghans; warriors fight with spear and bow. O youth, the wealth of both is the kingly chariot; may they bestow upon us heavenly safeguard.

यु॒वां ह॑वन्त उ॒भया॑स आ॒जिष्विन्द्रं॑ च॒ वस्वो॒ वरु॑णं च सा॒तये॑ । यत्र॒ राज॑भिर्द॒शभि॒र्निबा॑धितं॒ प्र सु॒दास॒माव॑तं॒ तृत्सु॑भिः स॒ह
yuvāṃ havanta ubhayāsa ājiṣvindraṃ ca vasvo varuṇaṃ ca sātaye yatra rājabhirdaśabhirnibādhitaṃ pra sudāsamāvataṃ tṛtsubhiḥ saha
You invoke both with oblations; praise Indra and Vasava and appease Varuna. Where kings bound by tens were held, Sudasa came together with the threefold companions.

दश॒ राजा॑नः॒ समि॑ता॒ अय॑ज्यवः सु॒दास॑मिन्द्रावरुणा॒ न यु॑युधुः । स॒त्या नृ॒णाम॑द्म॒सदा॒मुप॑स्तुतिर्दे॒वा ए॑षामभवन्दे॒वहू॑तिषु
daśa rājānaḥ samitā ayajyavaḥ sudāsamindrāvaruṇā na yuyudhuḥ satyā nṛṇāmadmasadāmupastutirdevā eṣāmabhavandevahūtiṣu
Ten kings, united, declared the rite; they offered to Sudasa, with Indra and Varuna, and did not contend. The truth of men and the praise of the gods were present in their offerings.

दा॒श॒रा॒ज्ञे परि॑यत्ताय वि॒श्वतः॑ सु॒दास॑ इन्द्रावरुणावशिक्षतम् । श्वि॒त्यञ्चो॒ यत्र॒ नम॑सा कप॒र्दिनो॑ धि॒या धीव॑न्तो॒ अस॑पन्त॒ तृत्स॑वः
dāśarājñe pariyattāya viśvataḥ sudāsa indrāvaruṇāvaśikṣatam śvityañco yatra namasā kapardino dhiyā dhīvanto asapanta tṛtsavaḥ
Surrounding the leader of ten charioteers everywhere, Sudasa taught Indra and Varuna. Where the white-limbed, long-haired were venerated with reverence, the threefold priests praised.

वृ॒त्राण्य॒न्यः स॑मि॒थेषु॒ जिघ्न॑ते व्र॒तान्य॒न्यो अ॒भि र॑क्षते॒ सदा॑ । हवा॑महे वां वृषणा सुवृ॒क्तिभि॑र॒स्मे इ॑न्द्रावरुणा॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतम्
vṛtrāṇyanyaḥ samitheṣu jighnate vratānyanyo abhi rakṣate sadā havāmahe vāṃ vṛṣaṇā suvṛktibhirasme indrāvaruṇā śarma yacchatam
One slays the Vṛtras among the assemblies, another always guards the rites. We invoke you, O strong ones, with splendid vows; Indra and Varuna grant us shelter and honor.

अ॒स्मे इन्द्रो॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा द्यु॒म्नं य॑च्छन्तु॒ महि॒ शर्म॑ स॒प्रथः॑ । अ॒व॒ध्रं ज्योति॒रदि॑तेरृता॒वृधो॑ दे॒वस्य॒ श्लोकं॑ सवि॒तुर्म॑नामहे
asme indro varuṇo mitro aryamā dyumnaṃ yacchantu mahi śarma saprathaḥ avadhraṃ jyotiraditerṛtāvṛdho devasya ślokaṃ saviturmanāmahe
May Indra, Varuna, Mitra, Aryaman bestow upon us great glory. We call the radiant day-star’s law, the hymn of the god Savitr, the light of the sun; we have invoked it with prayer.
