उद्वां॒ चक्षु॑र्वरुण सु॒प्रती॑कं दे॒वयो॑रेति॒ सूर्य॑स्तत॒न्वान् । अ॒भि यो विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि॒ चष्टे॒ स म॒न्युं मर्त्ये॒ष्वा चि॑केत
udvāṃ cakṣurvaruṇa supratīkaṃ devayoreti sūryastatanvān abhi yo viśvā bhuvanāni caṣṭe sa manyuṃ martyeṣvā ciketa
Rise, Varuṇa, with eyes intent, like the sun that stretches forth; he who encompasses all worlds makes Manju known among mortals.

प्र वां॒ स मि॑त्रावरुणावृ॒तावा॒ विप्रो॒ मन्मा॑नि दीर्घ॒श्रुदि॑यर्ति । यस्य॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि सुक्रतू॒ अवा॑थ॒ आ यत्क्रत्वा॒ न श॒रदः॑ पृ॒णैथे॑
pra vāṃ sa mitrāvaruṇāvṛtāvā vipro manmāni dīrghaśrudiyarti yasya brahmāṇi sukratū avātha ā yatkratvā na śaradaḥ pṛṇaithe
Invoke Mitra and Varuṇa, the wise seer, the brahman who performs noble deeds with long-hearing attention; may what was made by ritual not fail to fill the autumn festival.

प्रोरोर्मि॑त्रावरुणा पृथि॒व्याः प्र दि॒व ऋ॒ष्वाद्बृ॑ह॒तः सु॑दानू । स्पशो॑ दधाथे॒ ओष॑धीषु वि॒क्ष्वृध॑ग्य॒तो अनि॑मिषं॒ रक्ष॑माणा
prorormitrāvaruṇā pṛthivyāḥ pra diva ṛṣvādbṛhataḥ sudānū spaśo dadhāthe oṣadhīṣu vikṣvṛdhagyato animiṣaṃ rakṣamāṇā
I invoke Mitra and Varuṇa for the earth and the sky, for the lofty seers and generous men; may they place splendor in the herbs and protect the blinking ones that grow around.

शंसा॑ मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ धाम॒ शुष्मो॒ रोद॑सी बद्बधे महि॒त्वा । अय॒न्मासा॒ अय॑ज्वनाम॒वीराः॒ प्र य॒ज्ञम॑न्मा वृ॒जनं॑ तिराते
śaṃsā mitrasya varuṇasya dhāma śuṣmo rodasī badbadhe mahitvā ayanmāsā ayajvanāmavīrāḥ pra yajñamanmā vṛjanaṃ tirāte
May the abodes of Mitra and Varuṇa be calm, the radiant rivers bound with greatness; these months, these names of offerings, brave ones protect the sacrificial courtyard and keep away strife.

अमू॑रा॒ विश्वा॑ वृषणावि॒मा वां॒ न यासु॑ चि॒त्रं ददृ॑शे॒ न य॒क्षम् । द्रुहः॑ सचन्ते॒ अनृ॑ता॒ जना॑नां॒ न वां॑ नि॒ण्यान्य॒चिते॑ अभूवन्
amūrā viśvā vṛṣaṇāvimā vāṃ na yāsu citraṃ dadṛśe na yakṣam druhaḥ sacante anṛtā janānāṃ na vāṃ niṇyānyacite abhūvan
Foolish are those who doubt all of Vr̥ṣaṇa's fame; they have not seen your wondrous forms, they are not the protectors. Deceit and falsehood abide among men, but they did not vanquish you.

समु॑ वां य॒ज्ञं म॑हयं॒ नमो॑भिर्हु॒वे वां॑ मित्रावरुणा स॒बाधः॑ । प्र वां॒ मन्मा॑न्यृ॒चसे॒ नवा॑नि कृ॒तानि॒ ब्रह्म॑ जुजुषन्नि॒मानि॑
samu vāṃ yajñaṃ mahayaṃ namobhirhuve vāṃ mitrāvaruṇā sabādhaḥ pra vāṃ manmānyṛcase navāni kṛtāni brahma jujuṣannimāni
Unite our great sacrifice with homage; Mitra and Varuṇa, protectors, accept our new hymns and the deeds already done — may the priests offer these brāhmaṇa rites.

इ॒यं दे॑व पु॒रोहि॑तिर्यु॒वभ्यां॑ य॒ज्ञेषु॑ मित्रावरुणावकारि । विश्वा॑नि दु॒र्गा पि॑पृतं ति॒रो नो॑ यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः
iyaṃ deva purohitiryuvabhyāṃ yajñeṣu mitrāvaruṇāvakāri viśvāni durgā pipṛtaṃ tiro no yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
This divine priest serves in the twin sacrifices, invoking Mitra and Varuṇa; may all hostile forces be crushed and may you protect us always with welfare.
