prorormitrāvaruṇā pṛthivyāḥ pra diva ṛṣvādbṛhataḥ sudānū spaśo dadhāthe oṣadhīṣu vikṣvṛdhagyato animiṣaṃ rakṣamāṇā
I invoke Mitra and Varuṇa for the earth and the sky, for the lofty seers and generous men; may they place splendor in the herbs and protect the blinking ones that grow around.
You are vaster, Mitra and Varuṇa, than the ample earth, vaster, bounteous donors, than the gloriousand expansive heaven; you maintain beauty in plural nts and in people, diligent observers of truth, and vigilantlyprotecting (us).
From the wide earth, O Varuna and Mitra from the great lofty heaven, ye, Bounteous Givers, - Have in the fields and houses set your warder-, who visit every spot and watch unceasing.
