ऊ॒र्ध्वो अ॒ग्निः सु॑म॒तिं वस्वो॑ अश्रेत्प्रती॒ची जू॒र्णिर्दे॒वता॑तिमेति । भे॒जाते॒ अद्री॑ र॒थ्ये॑व॒ पन्था॑मृ॒तं होता॑ न इषि॒तो य॑जाति
ūrdhvo agniḥ sumatiṃ vasvo aśretpratīcī jūrṇirdevatātimeti bhejāte adrī rathyeva panthāmṛtaṃ hotā na iṣito yajāti
Upward Agni, the wealthy one, goes with best intent; spreading eastward, he fares like an old road among gods. He moistens the mountain and the chariot; the sacrificer does not offer poison but seeks ambrosia.

प्र वा॑वृजे सुप्र॒या ब॒र्हिरे॑षा॒मा वि॒श्पती॑व॒ बीरि॑ट इयाते । वि॒शाम॒क्तोरु॒षसः॑ पू॒र्वहू॑तौ वा॒युः पू॒षा स्व॒स्तये॑ नि॒युत्वा॑न्
pra vāvṛje suprayā barhireṣāmā viśpatīva bīriṭa iyāte viśāmaktoruṣasaḥ pūrvahūtau vāyuḥ pūṣā svastaye niyutvān
He poured forth the well-pleasing hymn; like a mighty lord he moves with vigour. May the wind, Pūṣan and Vāyu, who were invoked before by the sacrificer, be established for welfare.

ज्म॒या अत्र॒ वस॑वो रन्त दे॒वा उ॒राव॒न्तरि॑क्षे मर्जयन्त शु॒भ्राः । अ॒र्वाक्प॒थ उ॑रुज्रयः कृणुध्वं॒ श्रोता॑ दू॒तस्य॑ ज॒ग्मुषो॑ नो अ॒स्य
jmayā atra vasavo ranta devā urāvantarikṣe marjayanta śubhrāḥ arvākpatha urujrayaḥ kṛṇudhvaṃ śrotā dūtasya jagmuṣo no asya
Here the Vasus with bright hearts move among the gods in the mid-air and cleanse. O paths of the dawn, make broad ways; do the deeds of the messenger who heard for us and came to him.

ते हि य॒ज्ञेषु॑ य॒ज्ञिया॑स॒ ऊमाः॑ स॒धस्थं॒ विश्वे॑ अ॒भि सन्ति॑ दे॒वाः । ताँ अ॑ध्व॒र उ॑श॒तो य॑क्ष्यग्ने श्रु॒ष्टी भगं॒ नास॑त्या॒ पुरं॑धिम्
te hi yajñeṣu yajñiyāsa ūmāḥ sadhasthaṃ viśve abhi santi devāḥ tām̐ adhvara uśato yakṣyagne śruṣṭī bhagaṃ nāsatyā puraṃdhim
They indeed are the possessors of rites, the assemblies established in sacrifice; the gods are with all. The youthful steersman, O Agni, accept their ways and bear the portion of the city’s glory.

आग्ने॒ गिरो॑ दि॒व आ पृ॑थि॒व्या मि॒त्रं व॑ह॒ वरु॑ण॒मिन्द्र॑म॒ग्निम् । आर्य॒मण॒मदि॑तिं॒ विष्णु॑मेषां॒ सर॑स्वती म॒रुतो॑ मादयन्ताम्
āgne giro diva ā pṛthivyā mitraṃ vaha varuṇamindramagnim āryamaṇamaditiṃ viṣṇumeṣāṃ sarasvatī maruto mādayantām
O Agni, speak forth: to heaven and earth, to Mitra, Varuna, Indra and Agni. May Aryaman, Aditi, Vishnu, Sarasvatī and the Maruts inspire them.

र॒रे ह॒व्यं म॒तिभि॑र्य॒ज्ञिया॑नां॒ नक्ष॒त्कामं॒ मर्त्या॑ना॒मसि॑न्वन् । धाता॑ र॒यिम॑विद॒स्यं स॑दा॒सां स॑क्षी॒महि॒ युज्ये॑भि॒र्नु दे॒वैः
rare havyaṃ matibhiryajñiyānāṃ nakṣatkāmaṃ martyānāmasinvan dhātā rayimavidasyaṃ sadāsāṃ sakṣīmahi yujyebhirnu devaiḥ
May the oblation, offered with minds of the ritualists, be ranged among the stars desired by mortals. May the established Creator, dispenser of wealth, be our witness; may we be yoked to the gods.

नू रोद॑सी अ॒भिष्टु॑ते॒ वसि॑ष्ठैरृ॒तावा॑नो॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॒ग्निः । यच्छ॑न्तु च॒न्द्रा उ॑प॒मं नो॑ अ॒र्कं यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः
nū rodasī abhiṣṭute vasiṣṭhairṛtāvāno varuṇo mitro agniḥ yacchantu candrā upamaṃ no arkaṃ yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
O radiant Dawn, be propitious as wished by the Vasisṭhas; Varuna, Mitra and Agni are favourable. Let the moons grant us the sunlike counterpart; you, protect us always with blessings.
