इन्द्रं॑ वो॒ नरः॑ स॒ख्याय॑ सेपुर्म॒हो यन्तः॑ सुम॒तये॑ चका॒नाः । म॒हो हि दा॒ता वज्र॑हस्तो॒ अस्ति॑ म॒हामु॑ र॒ण्वमव॑से यजध्वम्
indraṃ vo naraḥ sakhyāya sepurmaho yantaḥ sumataye cakānāḥ maho hi dātā vajrahasto asti mahāmu raṇvamavase yajadhvam
Men ordained Indra for your friendship; great are they who proceed with good counsel. For indeed the great giver has the thunderbolt in hand; equip yourselves for mighty battle and perform the rite.

आ यस्मि॒न्हस्ते॒ नर्या॑ मिमि॒क्षुरा रथे॑ हिर॒ण्यये॑ रथे॒ष्ठाः । आ र॒श्मयो॒ गभ॑स्त्योः स्थू॒रयो॒राध्व॒न्नश्वा॑सो॒ वृष॑णो युजा॒नाः
ā yasminhaste naryā mimikṣurā rathe hiraṇyaye ratheṣṭhāḥ ā raśmayo gabhastyoḥ sthūrayorādhvannaśvāso vṛṣaṇo yujānāḥ
From whose hands, O men, the charioteers glean gold upon the chariot; beams rise from the two bellies, strong steeds yoked together on the path.

श्रि॒ये ते॒ पादा॒ दुव॒ आ मि॑मिक्षुर्धृ॒ष्णुर्व॒ज्री शव॑सा॒ दक्षि॑णावान् । वसा॑नो॒ अत्कं॑ सुर॒भिं दृ॒शे कं स्व१॒॑र्ण नृ॑तविषि॒रो ब॑भूथ
śriye te pādā duva ā mimikṣurdhṛṣṇurvajrī śavasā dakṣiṇāvān vasāno atkaṃ surabhiṃ dṛśe kaṃ sva1rṇa nṛtaviṣiro babhūtha
For your glory the feet of the two run apart; they, eager, sharpened by the car-whoop, sped with war-gear and right-hand sword. The garments of wealth shone like ointment; who then was not made fit for dance by ear and horn?

स सोम॒ आमि॑श्लतमः सु॒तो भू॒द्यस्मि॑न्प॒क्तिः प॒च्यते॒ सन्ति॑ धा॒नाः । इन्द्रं॒ नरः॑ स्तु॒वन्तो॑ ब्रह्मका॒रा उ॒क्था शंस॑न्तो दे॒ववा॑ततमाः
sa soma āmiślatamaḥ suto bhūdyasminpaktiḥ pacyate santi dhānāḥ indraṃ naraḥ stuvanto brahmakārā ukthā śaṃsanto devavātatamāḥ
This Soma’s juice, the pressed and mixed, O Soma, I savour; the rows are being cooked, there are wealths. Men praising Indra and makers of inspired hymns, chanting, brought the gods near.

न ते॒ अन्तः॒ शव॑सो धाय्य॒स्य वि तु बा॑बधे॒ रोद॑सी महि॒त्वा । आ ता सू॒रिः पृ॑णति॒ तूतु॑जानो यू॒थेवा॒प्सु स॒मीज॑मान ऊ॒ती
na te antaḥ śavaso dhāyyasya vi tu bābadhe rodasī mahitvā ā tā sūriḥ pṛṇati tūtujāno yūthevāpsu samījamāna ūtī
Not within your dwellings does the breath of death run; the weeping one binds it by greatness. The sun fills those who shout; the victors, like clans, in waters are washed and rise.

ए॒वेदिन्द्रः॑ सु॒हव॑ ऋ॒ष्वो अ॑स्तू॒ती अनू॑ती हिरिशि॒प्रः सत्वा॑ । ए॒वा हि जा॒तो अस॑मात्योजाः पु॒रू च॑ वृ॒त्रा ह॑नति॒ नि दस्यू॑न्
evedindraḥ suhava ṛṣvo astūtī anūtī hiriśipraḥ satvā evā hi jāto asamātyojāḥ purū ca vṛtrā hanati ni dasyūn
Thus Indra, beloved of the singers, was praised, the lion-slayer with vital force. Thus born, breaking not the bonds, he slew Vṛtra and subdued the Dasyus.
