द्यु॒तद्या॑मानं बृह॒तीमृ॒तेन॑ ऋ॒ताव॑रीमरु॒णप्सुं॑ विभा॒तीम् । दे॒वीमु॒षसं॒ स्व॑रा॒वह॑न्तीं॒ प्रति॒ विप्रा॑सो म॒तिभि॑र्जरन्ते
dyutadyāmānaṃ bṛhatīmṛtena ṛtāvarīmaruṇapsuṃ vibhātīm devīmuṣasaṃ svarāvahantīṃ prati viprāso matibhirjarante
The shining, dawn-kindled great one, bright with the life of Ṛta, gleams in the rosy waters. The goddess, bearing her voice, is praised by the thoughtful as they meditate.

ए॒षा जनं॑ दर्श॒ता बो॒धय॑न्ती सु॒गान्प॒थः कृ॑ण्व॒ती या॒त्यग्रे॑ । बृ॒ह॒द्र॒था बृ॑ह॒ती वि॑श्वमि॒न्वोषा ज्योति॑र्यच्छ॒त्यग्रे॒ अह्ना॑म्
eṣā janaṃ darśatā bodhayantī sugānpathaḥ kṛṇvatī yātyagre bṛhadrathā bṛhatī viśvaminvoṣā jyotiryacchatyagre ahnām
She shows the people the path, leading with sweet ways going foremost; broad-tract, broad-stepping, she sends forth the light of the universe ahead of the day.

ए॒षा गोभि॑ररु॒णेभि॑र्युजा॒नास्रे॑धन्ती र॒यिमप्रा॑यु चक्रे । प॒थो रद॑न्ती सुवि॒ताय॑ दे॒वी पु॑रुष्टु॒ता वि॒श्ववा॑रा॒ वि भा॑ति
eṣā gobhiraruṇebhiryujānāsredhantī rayimaprāyu cakre patho radantī suvitāya devī puruṣṭutā viśvavārā vi bhāti
She, yoked to the red steers, binding the coursing herds, ordained the realm’s far-reaching life. The goddess, traversing the path, exults in ordered wisdom, manifesting universal strength.

ए॒षा व्ये॑नी भवति द्वि॒बर्हा॑ आविष्कृण्वा॒ना त॒न्वं॑ पु॒रस्ता॑त् । ऋ॒तस्य॒ पन्था॒मन्वे॑ति सा॒धु प्र॑जान॒तीव॒ न दिशो॑ मिनाति
eṣā vyenī bhavati dvibarhā āviṣkṛṇvānā tanvaṃ purastāt ṛtasya panthāmanveti sādhu prajānatīva na diśo mināti
She becomes a twofold channel, drawing forth that tension, stretching the body forward. She follows the path of Rta well; she accepts the people and does not thwart the realms of the directions.

ए॒षा शु॒भ्रा न त॒न्वो॑ विदा॒नोर्ध्वेव॑ स्ना॒ती दृ॒शये॑ नो अस्थात् । अप॒ द्वेषो॒ बाध॑माना॒ तमां॑स्यु॒षा दि॒वो दु॑हि॒ता ज्योति॒षागा॑त्
eṣā śubhrā na tanvo vidānordhveva snātī dṛśaye no asthāt apa dveṣo bādhamānā tamāṃsyuṣā divo duhitā jyotiṣāgāt
She, bright, does not let the knowing body be washed upwards from sight; opposing hatred obstructed, her warm dawn milked the light from heaven and brought it near.

ए॒षा प्र॑ती॒ची दु॑हि॒ता दि॒वो नॄन्योषे॑व भ॒द्रा नि रि॑णीते॒ अप्सः॑ । व्यू॒र्ण्व॒ती दा॒शुषे॒ वार्या॑णि॒ पुन॒र्ज्योति॑र्युव॒तिः पू॒र्वथा॑कः
eṣā pratīcī duhitā divo nṝnyoṣeva bhadrā ni riṇīte apsaḥ vyūrṇvatī dāśuṣe vāryāṇi punarjyotiryuvatiḥ pūrvathākaḥ
She, fostered in the east, milks the light of heaven for men; she withholds the destructive flood, turning aside waters. Renewing, she brings back the channels, the rushing streams; the light returned as before from the east.
