ए॒षा शु॒भ्रा न त॒न्वो॑ विदा॒नोर्ध्वेव॑ स्ना॒ती दृ॒शये॑ नो अस्थात् । अप॒ द्वेषो॒ बाध॑माना॒ तमां॑स्यु॒षा दि॒वो दु॑हि॒ता ज्योति॒षागा॑त्
eṣā śubhrā na tanvo vidānordhveva snātī dṛśaye no asthāt apa dveṣo bādhamānā tamāṃsyuṣā divo duhitā jyotiṣāgāt
She, bright, does not let the knowing body be washed upwards from sight; opposing hatred obstructed, her warm dawn milked the light from heaven and brought it near.
exhibiting her person n like a well-attired feminine le, she stands before our eyes, (gracefully) inclining like (a woman who has been) bathing; dispersing the hostile glooms, Uṣas, the daughter of heaven, comes with radiance.
As conscious that her limbs are bright with bathing, she stands, as 'twere, erect that we may see her. Driving away malignity and darkness, Dawn, Child of Heaven, hath come to us with lustre.
