ए॒षा जनं॑ दर्श॒ता बो॒धय॑न्ती सु॒गान्प॒थः कृ॑ण्व॒ती या॒त्यग्रे॑ । बृ॒ह॒द्र॒था बृ॑ह॒ती वि॑श्वमि॒न्वोषा ज्योति॑र्यच्छ॒त्यग्रे॒ अह्ना॑म्
eṣā janaṃ darśatā bodhayantī sugānpathaḥ kṛṇvatī yātyagre bṛhadrathā bṛhatī viśvaminvoṣā jyotiryacchatyagre ahnām
She shows the people the path, leading with sweet ways going foremost; broad-tract, broad-stepping, she sends forth the light of the universe ahead of the day.
The lovely Dawn, arousing man, goes before (the sun) preparing practicable paths, riding in a spacious chariot; vast, expanding everywhere, she diffuses light at the commencement of the days.
She comes in front, fair, rousing up the people, making the pathways easy to be travelled. High, on her lofty chariot, all-impelling, Dawn gives her splendour at the days' beginning.
