अजा॑तशत्रुम॒जरा॒ स्व॑र्व॒त्यनु॑ स्व॒धामि॑ता द॒स्ममी॑यते । सु॒नोत॑न॒ पच॑त॒ ब्रह्म॑वाहसे पुरुष्टु॒ताय॑ प्रत॒रं द॑धातन
ajātaśatrumajarā svarvatyanu svadhāmitā dasmamīyate sunotana pacata brahmavāhase puruṣṭutāya prataraṃ dadhātana
Unborn of enemies, aged not, dwelling in heaven, he follows the sacred offerings and is served by tenfold attendants. The youthful one prepares food, bearing the sacred Brahma, and places offerings for strength each morning.

आ यः सोमे॑न ज॒ठर॒मपि॑प्र॒ताम॑न्दत म॒घवा॒ मध्वो॒ अन्ध॑सः । यदीं॑ मृ॒गाय॒ हन्त॑वे म॒हाव॑धः स॒हस्र॑भृष्टिमु॒शना॑ व॒धं यम॑त्
ā yaḥ somena jaṭharamapipratāmandata maghavā madhvo andhasaḥ yadīṃ mṛgāya hantave mahāvadhaḥ sahasrabhṛṣṭimuśanā vadhaṃ yamat
He who, by Soma, even though sluggish in belly, rejoices—Maghavas, sweet and blind—if he becomes the great slayer to hunt the stag, with a thousand downpours like a devourer he struck down the foe.

यो अ॑स्मै घ्रं॒स उ॒त वा॒ य ऊध॑नि॒ सोमं॑ सु॒नोति॒ भव॑ति द्यु॒माँ अह॑ । अपा॑प श॒क्रस्त॑त॒नुष्टि॑मूहति त॒नूशु॑भ्रं म॒घवा॒ यः क॑वास॒खः
yo asmai ghraṃsa uta vā ya ūdhani somaṃ sunoti bhavati dyumām̐ aha apāpa śakrastatanuṣṭimūhati tanūśubhraṃ maghavā yaḥ kavāsakhaḥ
Whoever for him grasps or carries Soma in the vessel becomes radiant in heaven. Shakra, remover of sins, favors the bright-bodied Maghavas and the strong comrade, celebrating him with a pure form.

यस्याव॑धीत्पि॒तरं॒ यस्य॑ मा॒तरं॒ यस्य॑ श॒क्रो भ्रात॑रं॒ नात॑ ईषते । वेतीद्व॑स्य॒ प्रय॑ता यतंक॒रो न किल्बि॑षादीषते॒ वस्व॑ आक॒रः
yasyāvadhītpitaraṃ yasya mātaraṃ yasya śakro bhrātaraṃ nāta īṣate vetīdvasya prayatā yataṃkaro na kilbiṣādīṣate vasva ākaraḥ
He whose father was slain, whose mother was slain, whom Shakra does not envy as brother—he strove forth; his anger is not for sin: Vasva is his form.

न प॒ञ्चभि॑र्द॒शभि॑र्वष्ट्या॒रभं॒ नासु॑न्वता सचते॒ पुष्य॑ता च॒न । जि॒नाति॒ वेद॑मु॒या हन्ति॑ वा॒ धुनि॒रा दे॑व॒युं भ॑जति॒ गोम॑ति व्र॒जे
na pañcabhirdaśabhirvaṣṭyārabhaṃ nāsunvatā sacate puṣyatā cana jināti vedamuyā hanti vā dhunirā devayuṃ bhajati gomati vraje
Not by five nor ten nor by the strong winds is prosperity alone begun; he who knows the Veda gains it, or he who strikes the drum; the godly lord shares cattle-fortune in the pasture.

वि॒त्वक्ष॑णः॒ समृ॑तौ चक्रमास॒जोऽसु॑न्वतो॒ विषु॑णः सुन्व॒तो वृ॒धः । इन्द्रो॒ विश्व॑स्य दमि॒ता वि॒भीष॑णो यथाव॒शं न॑यति॒ दास॒मार्यः॑
vitvakṣaṇaḥ samṛtau cakramāsajo'sunvato viṣuṇaḥ sunvato vṛdhaḥ indro viśvasya damitā vibhīṣaṇo yathāvaśaṃ nayati dāsamāryaḥ
The hour of separation churned at the sacred libation: the strong one stirred among the poisonous, the abundant one prospered. Indra, conqueror of the universe, stern and terrible, leads the mighty as he wills.

समीं॑ प॒णेर॑जति॒ भोज॑नं मु॒षे वि दा॒शुषे॑ भजति सू॒नरं॒ वसु॑ । दु॒र्गे च॒न ध्रि॑यते॒ विश्व॒ आ पु॒रु जनो॒ यो अ॑स्य॒ तवि॑षी॒मचु॑क्रुधत्
samīṃ paṇerajati bhojanaṃ muṣe vi dāśuṣe bhajati sūnaraṃ vasu durge cana dhriyate viśva ā puru jano yo asya taviṣīmacukrudhat
Nearby he sprinkled food from the pot and shared the banquet with ten; the wealthy son revered the noble one. In the stronghold they established and the peoples created cities—he who smote the poisonous one became wrathful.

सं यज्जनौ॑ सु॒धनौ॑ वि॒श्वश॑र्धसा॒ववे॒दिन्द्रो॑ म॒घवा॒ गोषु॑ शु॒भ्रिषु॑ । युजं॒ ह्य१॒॑न्यमकृ॑त प्रवेप॒न्युदीं॒ गव्यं॑ सृजते॒ सत्व॑भि॒र्धुनिः॑
saṃ yajjanau sudhanau viśvaśardhasāvavedindro maghavā goṣu śubhriṣu yujaṃ hya1nyamakṛta pravepanyudīṃ gavyaṃ sṛjate satvabhirdhuniḥ
He who yoked the noble herds, all-true and generous like Indra, Maghavas, in the pure cows: another deed he did not make; he drove forth the yielding kine—he produced cows with vital beings and offered them in sacrifice.

स॒ह॒स्र॒सामाग्नि॑वेशिं गृणीषे॒ शत्रि॑मग्न उप॒मां के॒तुम॒र्यः । तस्मा॒ आपः॑ सं॒यतः॑ पीपयन्त॒ तस्मि॑न्क्ष॒त्रमम॑वत्त्वे॒षम॑स्तु
sahasrasāmāgniveśiṃ gṛṇīṣe śatrimagna upamāṃ ketumaryaḥ tasmā āpaḥ saṃyataḥ pīpayanta tasminkṣatramamavattveṣamastu
I call the thousand-armed like an Agni-robe, the hostile-fire like a banner, O Arya leader. Therefore let waters be restrained and they shall drink; in this realm may the domain of the warrior be established.
