sahasrasāmāgniveśiṃ gṛṇīṣe śatrimagna upamāṃ ketumaryaḥ tasmā āpaḥ saṃyataḥ pīpayanta tasminkṣatramamavattveṣamastu
I call the thousand-armed like an Agni-robe, the hostile-fire like a banner, O Arya leader. Therefore let waters be restrained and they shall drink; in this realm may the domain of the warrior be established.
I, Arya, Agni, praise Śatri, the son of Agniveśa, the bestower of thousands, a type for comparison; may the collected waters yield him abundance; may wealth and strength, and glory be upon him.
Agni! I laud the liberal Agnivesi, Satri the type and standard of the pious. May the collected waters yield him plenty, and his be powerful and bright dominion.
