ए॒ष स्य भा॒नुरुदि॑यर्ति यु॒ज्यते॒ रथः॒ परि॑ज्मा दि॒वो अ॒स्य सान॑वि । पृ॒क्षासो॑ अस्मिन्मिथु॒ना अधि॒ त्रयो॒ दृति॑स्तु॒रीयो॒ मधु॑नो॒ वि र॑प्शते
eṣa sya bhānurudiyarti yujyate rathaḥ parijmā divo asya sānavi pṛkṣāso asminmithunā adhi trayo dṛtisturīyo madhuno vi rapśate
This very radiant dawn makes the chariot ready; around it the day’s wide light shines. The thrice-guarded team draws near, and the third of the honey-bearing ones breaks forth.

उद्वां॑ पृ॒क्षासो॒ मधु॑मन्त ईरते॒ रथा॒ अश्वा॑स उ॒षसो॒ व्यु॑ष्टिषु । अ॒पो॒र्णु॒वन्त॒स्तम॒ आ परी॑वृतं॒ स्व१॒॑र्ण शु॒क्रं त॒न्वन्त॒ आ रजः॑
udvāṃ pṛkṣāso madhumanta īrate rathā aśvāsa uṣaso vyuṣṭiṣu aporṇuvantastama ā parīvṛtaṃ sva1rṇa śukraṃ tanvanta ā rajaḥ
Up rose the teams, rejoicing in sweet juice; chariots and steeds move in the shining dawn. Waters, newly born, are revealed, wrapped about, golden, bright and fertile; the red becomes strong.

मध्वः॑ पिबतं मधु॒पेभि॑रा॒सभि॑रु॒त प्रि॒यं मधु॑ने युञ्जाथां॒ रथ॑म् । आ व॑र्त॒निं मधु॑ना जिन्वथस्प॒थो दृतिं॑ वहेथे॒ मधु॑मन्तमश्विना
madhvaḥ pibataṃ madhupebhirāsabhiruta priyaṃ madhune yuñjāthāṃ ratham ā vartaniṃ madhunā jinvathaspatho dṛtiṃ vahethe madhumantamaśvinā
Drink the sweet ones, the honeyed cups; with songs and oblations bind the joyous chariot. Let the honeyed path encompass the chariot; may the Ashvins bear the course, bringing the strong law.

हं॒सासो॒ ये वां॒ मधु॑मन्तो अ॒स्रिधो॒ हिर॑ण्यपर्णा उ॒हुव॑ उष॒र्बुधः॑ । उ॒द॒प्रुतो॑ म॒न्दिनो॑ मन्दिनि॒स्पृशो॒ मध्वो॒ न मक्षः॒ सव॑नानि गच्छथः
haṃsāso ye vāṃ madhumanto asridho hiraṇyaparṇā uhuva uṣarbudhaḥ udapruto mandino mandinispṛśo madhvo na makṣaḥ savanāni gacchathaḥ
Those honeyed ones among the swan-folk, bright-leafed with gold, cried aloud with the morning; the mild-born, the kindly touched, the honeyed ones go to the songs and do not resort to strife.

स्व॒ध्व॒रासो॒ मधु॑मन्तो अ॒ग्नय॑ उ॒स्रा ज॑रन्ते॒ प्रति॒ वस्तो॑र॒श्विना॑ । यन्नि॒क्तह॑स्तस्त॒रणि॑र्विचक्ष॒णः सोमं॑ सु॒षाव॒ मधु॑मन्त॒मद्रि॑भिः
svadhvarāso madhumanto agnaya usrā jarante prati vastoraśvinā yanniktahastastaraṇirvicakṣaṇaḥ somaṃ suṣāva madhumantamadribhiḥ
O Svadhvara-born, honey-crested, may you approach Agni with radiant steeds; the swift Ashvins, skilled with hands, who pour soma, protect the sweet soma with mountain nymphs.

आ॒के॒नि॒पासो॒ अह॑भि॒र्दवि॑ध्वतः॒ स्व१॒॑र्ण शु॒क्रं त॒न्वन्त॒ आ रजः॑ । सूर॑श्चि॒दश्वा॑न्युयुजा॒न ई॑यते॒ विश्वा॒ँ अनु॑ स्व॒धया॑ चेतथस्प॒थः
ākenipāso ahabhirdavidhvataḥ sva1rṇa śukraṃ tanvanta ā rajaḥ sūraścidaśvānyuyujāna īyate viśvām̐ anu svadhayā cetathaspathaḥ
The bright, twofold streams came forth like goats, bearing the gleaming radiance; and the gods, allied with chariot-horses, led forth the universal rites with Svadhya (the sacred oblation).

प्र वा॑मवोचमश्विना धियं॒धा रथः॒ स्वश्वो॑ अ॒जरो॒ यो अस्ति॑ । येन॑ स॒द्यः परि॒ रजां॑सि या॒थो ह॒विष्म॑न्तं त॒रणिं॑ भो॒जमच्छ॑
pra vāmavocamaśvinā dhiyaṃdhā rathaḥ svaśvo ajaro yo asti yena sadyaḥ pari rajāṃsi yātho haviṣmantaṃ taraṇiṃ bhojamaccha
The Ashvins spoke: bring forth the intelligent chariot and the ageless steed; by which you will quickly encompass the sacred radiance, and grant the bounteous oblation and nourishment, O charioteer.
