प्र ऋ॒भुभ्यो॑ दू॒तमि॑व॒ वाच॑मिष्य उप॒स्तिरे॒ श्वैत॑रीं धे॒नुमी॑ळे । ये वात॑जूतास्त॒रणि॑भि॒रेवैः॒ परि॒ द्यां स॒द्यो अ॒पसो॑ बभू॒वुः
pra ṛbhubhyo dūtamiva vācamiṣya upastire śvaitarīṃ dhenumīḷe ye vātajūtāstaraṇibhirevaiḥ pari dyāṃ sadyo apaso babhūvuḥ
I sent forth words like a messenger to the swift milch cow; the wind-borne chariots, like layers of heaven, became waters at once.

य॒दार॒मक्र॑न्नृ॒भवः॑ पि॒तृभ्यां॒ परि॑विष्टी वे॒षणा॑ दं॒सना॑भिः । आदिद्दे॒वाना॒मुप॑ स॒ख्यमा॑य॒न्धीरा॑सः पु॒ष्टिम॑वहन्म॒नायै॑
yadāramakrannṛbhavaḥ pitṛbhyāṃ pariviṣṭī veṣaṇā daṃsanābhiḥ ādiddevānāmupa sakhyamāyandhīrāsaḥ puṣṭimavahanmanāyai
When men could not divide, the ancient ones encompassed the fathers with garments and teeth; the blind became friends of the gods and brought strength to the mind.

पुन॒र्ये च॒क्रुः पि॒तरा॒ युवा॑ना॒ सना॒ यूपे॑व जर॒णा शया॑ना । ते वाजो॒ विभ्वा॑ँ ऋ॒भुरिन्द्र॑वन्तो॒ मधु॑प्सरसो नोऽवन्तु य॒ज्ञम्
punarye cakruḥ pitarā yuvānā sanā yūpeva jaraṇā śayānā te vājo vibhvām̐ ṛbhurindravanto madhupsaraso no'vantu yajñam
Again the fathers made young men, both new and old, their pillars and couches; these strong ṛbhus, full of riches and honey, may grant our sacrifice success.

यत्सं॒वत्स॑मृ॒भवो॒ गामर॑क्ष॒न्यत्सं॒वत्स॑मृ॒भवो॒ मा अपिं॑शन् । यत्सं॒वत्स॒मभ॑र॒न्भासो॑ अस्या॒स्ताभिः॒ शमी॑भिरमृत॒त्वमा॑शुः
yatsaṃvatsamṛbhavo gāmarakṣanyatsaṃvatsamṛbhavo mā apiṃśan yatsaṃvatsamabharanbhāso asyāstābhiḥ śamībhiramṛtatvamāśuḥ
What yearly preserved the kine and what yearly kept them from harm, what yearly upheld the brightness of this realm with sacred twigs, swiftly made them immortal.

ज्ये॒ष्ठ आ॑ह चम॒सा द्वा क॒रेति॒ कनी॑या॒न्त्रीन्कृ॑णवा॒मेत्या॑ह । क॒नि॒ष्ठ आ॑ह च॒तुर॑स्क॒रेति॒ त्वष्ट॑ ऋभव॒स्तत्प॑नय॒द्वचो॑ वः
jyeṣṭha āha camasā dvā kareti kanīyāntrīnkṛṇavāmetyāha kaniṣṭha āha caturaskareti tvaṣṭa ṛbhavastatpanayadvaco vaḥ
The elder said: 'Strike twice with the shoulder, the younger said: 'Do skillfully with both hands'; Tvaṣṭṛ forged the fashioned ṛbhus by your word.

स॒त्यमू॑चु॒र्नर॑ ए॒वा हि च॒क्रुरनु॑ स्व॒धामृ॒भवो॑ जग्मुरे॒ताम् । वि॒भ्राज॑मानाँश्चम॒साँ अहे॒वावे॑न॒त्त्वष्टा॑ च॒तुरो॑ ददृ॒श्वान्
satyamūcurnara evā hi cakruranu svadhāmṛbhavo jagmuretām vibhrājamānām̐ścamasām̐ ahevāvenattvaṣṭā caturo dadṛśvān
Men spoke truly: thus the strong ones followed their ordinance; they shone and pursued the homes, the skilful Tvaṣṭṛ made four visible ones by his craft.

द्वाद॑श॒ द्यून्यदगो॑ह्यस्याति॒थ्ये रण॑न्नृ॒भवः॑ स॒सन्तः॑ । सु॒क्षेत्रा॑कृण्व॒न्नन॑यन्त॒ सिन्धू॒न्धन्वाति॑ष्ठ॒न्नोष॑धीर्नि॒म्नमापः॑
dvādaśa dyūnyadagohyasyātithye raṇannṛbhavaḥ sasantaḥ sukṣetrākṛṇvannanayanta sindhūndhanvātiṣṭhannoṣadhīrnimnamāpaḥ
Twelve seasons, the herdsmen guarded the guest-cattle; they placed fine pastures, they sowed rivers, they set medicines, the waters sank low.

रथं॒ ये च॒क्रुः सु॒वृतं॑ नरे॒ष्ठां ये धे॒नुं वि॑श्व॒जुवं॑ वि॒श्वरू॑पाम् । त आ त॑क्षन्त्वृ॒भवो॑ र॒यिं नः॒ स्वव॑सः॒ स्वप॑सः सु॒हस्ताः॑
rathaṃ ye cakruḥ suvṛtaṃ nareṣṭhāṃ ye dhenuṃ viśvajuvaṃ viśvarūpām ta ā takṣantvṛbhavo rayiṃ naḥ svavasaḥ svapasaḥ suhastāḥ
They fashioned worthy chariots and the peerless cow, universal in form; the ṛbhus built for us a realm, our own abode and produce, skillful-handed.

अपो॒ ह्ये॑षा॒मजु॑षन्त दे॒वा अ॒भि क्रत्वा॒ मन॑सा॒ दीध्या॑नाः । वाजो॑ दे॒वाना॑मभवत्सु॒कर्मेन्द्र॑स्य ऋभु॒क्षा वरु॑णस्य॒ विभ्वा॑
apo hyeṣāmajuṣanta devā abhi kratvā manasā dīdhyānāḥ vājo devānāmabhavatsukarmendrasya ṛbhukṣā varuṇasya vibhvā
The gods, by their mind and radiant thought, brought forth these waters for libation; Vāja became the wealth of the gods, O artisans, and the splendor of Varuṇa manifested.

ये हरी॑ मे॒धयो॒क्था मद॑न्त॒ इन्द्रा॑य च॒क्रुः सु॒युजा॒ ये अश्वा॑ । ते रा॒यस्पोषं॒ द्रवि॑णान्य॒स्मे ध॒त्त ऋ॑भवः क्षेम॒यन्तो॒ न मि॒त्रम्
ye harī medhayokthā madanta indrāya cakruḥ suyujā ye aśvā te rāyaspoṣaṃ draviṇānyasme dhatta ṛbhavaḥ kṣemayanto na mitram
Those mares, the lofty-minded ones who yoked themselves to Indra, the swift horses—these, O artisans, have laid out the sustenance of the realm and the riches for me; they grant prosperity, not enmity.

इ॒दाह्नः॑ पी॒तिमु॒त वो॒ मदं॑ धु॒र्न ऋ॒ते श्रा॒न्तस्य॑ स॒ख्याय॑ दे॒वाः । ते नू॒नम॒स्मे ऋ॑भवो॒ वसू॑नि तृ॒तीये॑ अ॒स्मिन्सव॑ने दधात
idāhnaḥ pītimuta vo madaṃ dhurna ṛte śrāntasya sakhyāya devāḥ te nūnamasme ṛbhavo vasūni tṛtīye asminsavane dadhāta
This day they brought you joy and gave me rapture in place of weariness, O gods; verily the artisans placed riches for me in the third seat of the sacrifice.
