अ॒हं मनु॑रभवं॒ सूर्य॑श्चा॒हं क॒क्षीवा॒ँ ऋषि॑रस्मि॒ विप्रः॑ । अ॒हं कुत्स॑मार्जुने॒यं न्यृ॑ञ्जे॒ऽहं क॒विरु॒शना॒ पश्य॑ता मा
ahaṃ manurabhavaṃ sūryaścāhaṃ kakṣīvām̐ ṛṣirasmi vipraḥ ahaṃ kutsamārjuneyaṃ nyṛñje'haṃ kaviruśanā paśyatā mā
I became Manu, I am the sun; I am the mighty falcon, I am the seer-spark, the brahmin. I praised Arjuna’s fame; I am the seer of the spear—do not look upon me otherwise.

अ॒हं भूमि॑मददा॒मार्या॑या॒हं वृ॒ष्टिं दा॒शुषे॒ मर्त्या॑य । अ॒हम॒पो अ॑नयं वावशा॒ना मम॑ दे॒वासो॒ अनु॒ केत॑मायन्
ahaṃ bhūmimadadāmāryāyāhaṃ vṛṣṭiṃ dāśuṣe martyāya ahamapo anayaṃ vāvaśānā mama devāso anu ketamāyan
I gave earth to the good, I granted rain to mortals. I am the rivers’ water, the encloser of cattle; the gods followed my banner.

अ॒हं पुरो॑ मन्दसा॒नो व्यै॑रं॒ नव॑ सा॒कं न॑व॒तीः शम्ब॑रस्य । श॒त॒त॒मं वे॒श्यं॑ स॒र्वता॑ता॒ दिवो॑दासमतिथि॒ग्वं यदाव॑म्
ahaṃ puro mandasāno vyairaṃ nava sākaṃ navatīḥ śambarasya śatatamaṃ veśyaṃ sarvatātā divodāsamatithigvaṃ yadāvam
I advanced the strong city with gentle might, ninefold when young—nineties for the height of prosperity. A hundredfold the mistress I bound around all sides; the guest of heaven came to meet this mighty folk.

प्र सु ष विभ्यो॑ मरुतो॒ विर॑स्तु॒ प्र श्ये॒नः श्ये॒नेभ्य॑ आशु॒पत्वा॑ । अ॒च॒क्रया॒ यत्स्व॒धया॑ सुप॒र्णो ह॒व्यं भर॒न्मन॑वे दे॒वजु॑ष्टम्
pra su ṣa vibhyo maruto virastu pra śyenaḥ śyenebhya āśupatvā acakrayā yatsvadhayā suparṇo havyaṃ bharanmanave devajuṣṭam
The Maruts sent forth the winged falcon like an offering; he, bearing the oblation, spread it with sacred smoke. What the swift-winged brought with the libation they filled—sacrificial food accepted by the gods for men.

भर॒द्यदि॒ विरतो॒ वेवि॑जानः प॒थोरुणा॒ मनो॑जवा असर्जि । तूयं॑ ययौ॒ मधु॑ना सो॒म्येनो॒त श्रवो॑ विविदे श्ये॒नो अत्र॑
bharadyadi virato vevijānaḥ pathoruṇā manojavā asarji tūyaṃ yayau madhunā somyenota śravo vivide śyeno atra
When the noble one restrained, the wise stirred the red way and formed a youthful mind. You who went with honey to Soma’s place—hear the falcon’s clanguar here.

ऋ॒जी॒पी श्ये॒नो दद॑मानो अं॒शुं प॑रा॒वतः॑ शकु॒नो म॒न्द्रं मद॑म् । सोमं॑ भरद्दादृहा॒णो दे॒वावा॑न्दि॒वो अ॒मुष्मा॒दुत्त॑रादा॒दाय॑
ṛjīpī śyeno dadamāno aṃśuṃ parāvataḥ śakuno mandraṃ madam somaṃ bharaddādṛhāṇo devāvāndivo amuṣmāduttarādādāya
The straight-winged falcon gave the bright ray, the bird’s menacing roar subdued my pride. He bore Soma, bestowing it; the gods received it from the heavens and gave it back from above.

आ॒दाय॑ श्ये॒नो अ॑भर॒त्सोमं॑ स॒हस्रं॑ स॒वाँ अ॒युतं॑ च सा॒कम् । अत्रा॒ पुरं॑धिरजहा॒दरा॑ती॒र्मदे॒ सोम॑स्य मू॒रा अमू॑रः
ādāya śyeno abharatsomaṃ sahasraṃ savām̐ ayutaṃ ca sākam atrā puraṃdhirajahādarātīrmade somasya mūrā amūraḥ
Taking it, the falcon bore the Soma—thousandfold, ten-thousandfold the draught. There the city’s stream dashed, the Soma’s fury, the foolish without sense.
