I became Manu, I am the sun; I am the mighty falcon, I am the seer-spark, the brahmin. I praised Arjuna’s fame; I am the seer of the spear—do not look upon me otherwise.
I have been Manu and Sūrya; I am the wise ṛṣi: Kakṣīvat; I have befriended Kutsa, the son of Arjuni; I am the far-seeing Uśanās; so behold me.
I WAS aforetime Manu, I was Surya: I am the sage Kaksivan, holy singer. Kutsa the son of Arjuni I master. I am the sapient Usana behold me.
