धे॒नुः प्र॒त्नस्य॒ काम्यं॒ दुहा॑ना॒न्तः पु॒त्रश्च॑रति॒ दक्षि॑णायाः । आ द्यो॑त॒निं व॑हति शु॒भ्रया॑मो॒षसः॒ स्तोमो॑ अ॒श्विना॑वजीगः
dhenuḥ pratnasya kāmyaṃ duhānāntaḥ putraścarati dakṣiṇāyāḥ ā dyotaniṃ vahati śubhrayāmoṣasaḥ stomo aśvināvajīgaḥ
The desired cow of effort, yielding milk within, the son tends toward the right. She bears the bright light of dawn; the hymn and the Aśvins have come to herd her.

सु॒युग्व॑हन्ति॒ प्रति॑ वामृ॒तेनो॒र्ध्वा भ॑वन्ति पि॒तरे॑व॒ मेधाः॑ । जरे॑थाम॒स्मद्वि प॒णेर्म॑नी॒षां यु॒वोरव॑श्चकृ॒मा या॑तम॒र्वाक्
suyugvahanti prati vāmṛtenordhvā bhavanti pitareva medhāḥ jarethāmasmadvi paṇermanīṣāṃ yuvoravaścakṛmā yātamarvāk
Well-paired steeds bear upward, like those of the fathers, the intellects; they rise like a father’s bounty. Let our wise men’s many hands be strengthened; may the youthful company bring the singing the sacred verse.

सु॒युग्भि॒रश्वैः॑ सु॒वृता॒ रथे॑न॒ दस्रा॑वि॒मं शृ॑णुतं॒ श्लोक॒मद्रेः॑ । किम॒ङ्ग वां॒ प्रत्यव॑र्तिं॒ गमि॑ष्ठा॒हुर्विप्रा॑सो अश्विना पुरा॒जाः
suyugbhiraśvaiḥ suvṛtā rathena dasrāvimaṃ śaṛṇutaṃ ślokamadreḥ kimaṅga vāṃ pratyavartiṃ gamiṣṭhāhurviprāso aśvinā purājāḥ
With well-matched horses and a well-made chariot hear the hymn of beloved Madra. What of your returning? The bards say the ancient Ashvin-kings once entered the city.

आ म॑न्येथा॒मा ग॑तं॒ कच्चि॒देवै॒र्विश्वे॒ जना॑सो अ॒श्विना॑ हवन्ते । इ॒मा हि वां॒ गोऋ॑जीका॒ मधू॑नि॒ प्र मि॒त्रासो॒ न द॒दुरु॒स्रो अग्रे॑
ā manyethāmā gataṃ kaccidevairviśve janāso aśvinā havante imā hi vāṃ goṛjīkā madhūni pra mitrāso na dadurusro agre
I think thus: have the gods come hither, the Ashvins everywhere? These cows, the rich milkers, yield sweet meads; the Mitras did not give the forepart.

ति॒रः पु॒रू चि॑दश्विना॒ रजां॑स्याङ्गू॒षो वां॑ मघवाना॒ जने॑षु । एह या॑तं प॒थिभि॑र्देव॒यानै॒र्दस्रा॑वि॒मे वां॑ नि॒धयो॒ मधू॑नाम्
tiraḥ purū cidaśvinā rajāṃsyāṅgūṣo vāṃ maghavānā janeṣu eha yātaṃ pathibhirdevayānairdasrāvime vāṃ nidhayo madhūnām
The regions and people, O Ashvins, with chariot-axles and regal limbs—your generous ones among the folk. These paths that went by the divine ways carry away for you the treasures of sweet things.

पु॒रा॒णमोकः॑ स॒ख्यं शि॒वं वां॑ यु॒वोर्न॑रा॒ द्रवि॑णं ज॒ह्नाव्या॑म् । पुनः॑ कृण्वा॒नाः स॒ख्या शि॒वानि॒ मध्वा॑ मदेम स॒ह नू स॑मा॒नाः
purāṇamokaḥ sakhyaṃ śivaṃ vāṃ yuvornarā draviṇaṃ jahnāvyām punaḥ kṛṇvānāḥ sakhyā śivāni madhvā madema saha nū samānāḥ
An ancient friendly covenant, auspicious, you youths gave wealth among men, causing streams to flow. Again you made friendship, noble draughts and honey-gifts together, equal in fellowship.

अश्वि॑ना वा॒युना॑ यु॒वं सु॑दक्षा नि॒युद्भि॑ष्च स॒जोष॑सा युवाना । नास॑त्या ति॒रोअ॑ह्न्यं जुषा॒णा सोमं॑ पिबतम॒स्रिधा॑ सुदानू
aśvinā vāyunā yuvaṃ sudakṣā niyudbhiṣca sajoṣasā yuvānā nāsatyā tiroahnyaṃ juṣāṇā somaṃ pibatamasridhā sudānū
The Aśvins, swift as wind, young, most skilled, harnessed with ornament: with joyous youth they bring the day’s offering. Let us drink Soma in the eastern dawn, O generous ones.

अश्वि॑ना॒ परि॑ वा॒मिषः॑ पुरू॒चीरी॒युर्गी॒र्भिर्यत॑माना॒ अमृ॑ध्राः । रथो॑ ह वामृत॒जा अद्रि॑जूतः॒ परि॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी या॑ति स॒द्यः
aśvinā pari vāmiṣaḥ purūcīrīyurgīrbhiryatamānā amṛdhrāḥ ratho ha vāmṛtajā adrijūtaḥ pari dyāvāpṛthivī yāti sadyaḥ
The Aśvins, surrounding the fragrant stalls, skillful in ploughing, swift in song, their chariot born of ambrosia, borne over heaven and earth, come swiftly.

अश्वि॑ना मधु॒षुत्त॑मो यु॒वाकुः॒ सोम॒स्तं पा॑त॒मा ग॑तं दुरो॒णे । रथो॑ ह वां॒ भूरि॒ वर्पः॒ करि॑क्रत्सु॒ताव॑तो निष्कृ॒तमाग॑मिष्ठः
aśvinā madhuṣuttamo yuvākuḥ somastaṃ pātamā gataṃ duroṇe ratho ha vāṃ bhūri varpaḥ karikratsutāvato niṣkṛtamāgamiṣṭhaḥ
Aśvins, best of honey-givers, the young lords brought Soma to the post in the strong place. Your chariot bears abundant spoil; grab the prize and come forth, O swift ones.
