होता॑जनिष्ट॒ चेत॑नः पि॒ता पि॒तृभ्य॑ ऊ॒तये॑ । प्र॒यक्ष॒ञ्जेन्यं॒ वसु॑ श॒केम॑ वा॒जिनो॒ यम॑म्
hotājaniṣṭa cetanaḥ pitā pitṛbhya ūtaye prayakṣañjenyaṃ vasu śakema vājino yamam
O priest-born, conscious, father to the fathers, arise for the offering. With visible offering the wealthy may bestow strength, the mail-clad bestow the day of Yama.

आ यस्मि॑न्स॒प्त र॒श्मय॑स्त॒ता य॒ज्ञस्य॑ ने॒तरि॑ । म॒नु॒ष्वद्दैव्य॑मष्ट॒मं पोता॒ विश्वं॒ तदि॑न्वति
ā yasminsapta raśmayastatā yajñasya netari manuṣvaddaivyamaṣṭamaṃ potā viśvaṃ tadinvati
In whom are the seven rays, the eyes of the sacrifice’s leader; the human-divine eighth is the drinker—he permeates all, and then follows the whole.

द॒ध॒न्वे वा॒ यदी॒मनु॒ वोच॒द्ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ वेरु॒ तत् । परि॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ काव्या॑ ने॒मिश्च॒क्रमि॑वाभवत्
dadhanve vā yadīmanu vocadbrahmāṇi veru tat pari viśvāni kāvyā nemiścakramivābhavat
If Brahmā spoke this among you, then around all the ordinances the laws were set like a wheel — thus the measures of sacred speech were arranged.

सा॒कं हि शुचि॑ना॒ शुचिः॑ प्रशा॒स्ता क्रतु॒नाज॑नि । वि॒द्वाँ अ॑स्य व्र॒ता ध्रु॒वा व॒या इ॒वानु॑ रोहते
sākaṃ hi śucinā śuciḥ praśāstā kratunājani vidvām̐ asya vratā dhruvā vayā ivānu rohate
Indeed purity with the pure, purity famed, known by sacrificial power. The wise uphold his rites firmly; thus he rises like the wind.

ता अ॑स्य॒ वर्ण॑मा॒युवो॒ नेष्टुः॑ सचन्त धे॒नवः॑ । कु॒वित्ति॒सृभ्य॒ आ वरं॒ स्वसा॑रो॒ या इ॒दं य॒युः
tā asya varṇamāyuvo neṣṭuḥ sacanta dhenavaḥ kuvittisṛbhya ā varaṃ svasāro yā idaṃ yayuḥ
From his powers are these hues and the youthful forms desired by the kine; they who sought in three ways obtained boon, those who carried this went yonder.

यदी॑ मा॒तुरुप॒ स्वसा॑ घृ॒तं भर॒न्त्यस्थि॑त । तासा॑मध्व॒र्युराग॑तौ॒ यवो॑ वृ॒ष्टीव॑ मोदते
yadī māturupa svasā ghṛtaṃ bharantyasthita tāsāmadhvaryurāgatau yavo vṛṣṭīva modate
If mothers and sisters stood bearing ghee, their paths would be pleasing. Those youths who came and departed rejoiced like rain on the fields.

स्वः स्वाय॒ धाय॑से कृणु॒तामृ॒त्विगृ॒त्विज॑म् । स्तोमं॑ य॒ज्ञं चादरं॑ व॒नेमा॑ ररि॒मा व॒यम्
svaḥ svāya dhāyase kṛṇutāmṛtvigṛtvijam stomaṃ yajñaṃ cādaraṃ vanemā rarimā vayam
May he make radiant offerings on the realm of heaven and perform the life-giving rite; may we sing the stoma and the sacrifice, go forth into the forest, O friends.

यथा॑ वि॒द्वाँ अरं॒ कर॒द्विश्वे॑भ्यो यज॒तेभ्यः॑ । अ॒यम॑ग्ने॒ त्वे अपि॒ यं य॒ज्ञं च॑कृ॒मा व॒यम्
yathā vidvām̐ araṃ karadviśvebhyo yajatebhyaḥ ayamagne tve api yaṃ yajñaṃ cakṛmā vayam
As the wise one makes the oblation for the whole world from afar, so, O Agni, we too have performed this sacrifice for you.
