आ जनं॑ त्वे॒षसं॑दृशं॒ माही॑नाना॒मुप॑स्तुतम् । अग॑न्म॒ बिभ्र॑तो॒ नमः॑
ā janaṃ tveṣasaṃdṛśaṃ māhīnānāmupastutam aganma bibhrato namaḥ
O Agni, thou who art like the wild folk of the land, praised by many, bearer of the fire—salutations to thee.

अस॑मातिं नि॒तोश॑नं त्वे॒षं नि॑य॒यिनं॒ रथ॑म् । भ॒जेर॑थस्य॒ सत्प॑तिम्
asamātiṃ nitośanaṃ tveṣaṃ niyayinaṃ ratham bhajerathasya satpatim
Thou who didst bring home the unassailable, the chariot that carries what is bound; may the chariot's lord attend the true protector.

yo janānmahiṣām̐ ivātitasthau pavīravān utāpavīravānyudhā
He who stood among men like a mighty bull, brave among heroes—he was a leader among warriors.

yasyekṣvākurupa vrate revānmarāyyedhate divīva pañca kṛṣṭayaḥ
He who, watching the field, upheld the sacred vow, slew the enemy; five folds of wealth were distributed in the sky.

indra kṣatrāsamātiṣu rathaproṣṭheṣu dhāraya divīva sūryaṃ dṛśe
Indra, hold firm the chariots' yokes in battle; in the sky may we behold the sun.

agastyasya nadbhyaḥ saptī yunakṣi rohitā paṇīnnyakramīrabhi viśvānrājannarādhasaḥ
From Agastya's rivers the seven swift streams flow; the hosts of men move in order, all kings and people.

अ॒यं मा॒तायं पि॒तायं जी॒वातु॒राग॑मत् । इ॒दं तव॑ प्र॒सर्प॑णं॒ सुब॑न्ध॒वेहि॒ निरि॑हि
ayaṃ mātāyaṃ pitāyaṃ jīvāturāgamat idaṃ tava prasarpaṇaṃ subandhavehi nirihi
May this mother and father grant life to the mortal; accept this offering of thine, binding one, free from fault.

यथा॑ यु॒गं व॑र॒त्रया॒ नह्य॑न्ति ध॒रुणा॑य॒ कम् । ए॒वा दा॑धार ते॒ मनो॑ जी॒वात॑वे॒ न मृ॒त्यवेऽथो॑ अरि॒ष्टता॑तये
yathā yugaṃ varatrayā nahyanti dharuṇāya kam evā dādhāra te mano jīvātave na mṛtyave'tho ariṣṭatātaye
As the bolt is held by the fence and does not break, so give thou mind to life; not to death nor to calamity make it prone.

यथे॒यं पृ॑थि॒वी म॒ही दा॒धारे॒मान्वन॒स्पती॑न् । ए॒वा दा॑धार ते॒ मनो॑ जी॒वात॑वे॒ न मृ॒त्यवेऽथो॑ अरि॒ष्टता॑तये
yatheyaṃ pṛthivī mahī dādhāremānvanaspatīn evā dādhāra te mano jīvātave na mṛtyave'tho ariṣṭatātaye
Just as this Earth upholds the mountains and the folk of the forests, so may your mind sustain me for life, not for death nor for calamity.

य॒माद॒हं वै॑वस्व॒तात्सु॒बन्धो॒र्मन॒ आभ॑रम् । जी॒वात॑वे॒ न मृ॒त्यवेऽथो॑ अरि॒ष्टता॑तये
yamādahaṃ vaivasvatātsubandhormana ābharam jīvātave na mṛtyave'tho ariṣṭatātaye
I, the radiant son of Vivasvat, have borne this bond and brought the mind’s burden; sustain me for life, not for death nor for calamity.

न्य१॒॑ग्वातोऽव॑ वाति॒ न्य॑क्तपति॒ सूर्यः॑ । नी॒चीन॑म॒घ्न्या दु॑हे॒ न्य॑ग्भवतु ते॒ रपः॑
nya1gvāto'va vāti nyaktapati sūryaḥ nīcīnamaghnyā duhe nyagbhavatu te rapaḥ
From the north the wind comes, the sun is its lord; may it loosen what is low and harmful, may the draughts become good rain for you.

अ॒यं मे॒ हस्तो॒ भग॑वान॒यं मे॒ भग॑वत्तरः । अ॒यं मे॑ वि॒श्वभे॑षजो॒ऽयं शि॒वाभि॑मर्शनः
ayaṃ me hasto bhagavānayaṃ me bhagavattaraḥ ayaṃ me viśvabheṣajo'yaṃ śivābhimarśanaḥ
This hand of mine is sacred, this hand is more sacred; this is the universal remedy, this the auspicious purifier.
