तां सु ते॑ की॒र्तिं म॑घवन्महि॒त्वा यत्त्वा॑ भी॒ते रोद॑सी॒ अह्व॑येताम् । प्रावो॑ दे॒वाँ आति॑रो॒ दास॒मोजः॑ प्र॒जायै॑ त्वस्यै॒ यदशि॑क्ष इन्द्र
tāṃ su te kīrtiṃ maghavanmahitvā yattvā bhīte rodasī ahvayetām prāvo devām̐ ātiro dāsamojaḥ prajāyai tvasyai yadaśikṣa indra
You, Mighavan, make known that glory which, having honored greatness, should be invoked when afraid and weeping. Let it come forth to the gods, a hundredfold, O giver of offspring, as Indra instructed you.

यदच॑रस्त॒न्वा॑ वावृधा॒नो बला॑नीन्द्र प्रब्रुवा॒णो जने॑षु । मा॒येत्सा ते॒ यानि॑ यु॒द्धान्या॒हुर्नाद्य शत्रुं॑ न॒नु पु॒रा वि॑वित्से
yadacarastanvā vāvṛdhāno balānīndra prabruvāṇo janeṣu māyetsā te yāni yuddhānyāhurnādya śatruṃ nanu purā vivitse
Whatever conduct strengthened the body, Indra declared among men: “Do not cause those wars of yours which were called by name; do not previously disclose the enemy.”

क उ॒ नु ते॑ महि॒मनः॑ समस्या॒स्मत्पूर्व॒ ऋष॒योऽन्त॑मापुः । यन्मा॒तरं॑ च पि॒तरं॑ च सा॒कमज॑नयथास्त॒न्व१॒ः॑ स्वायाः॑
ka u nu te mahimanaḥ samasyāsmatpūrva ṛṣayo'ntamāpuḥ yanmātaraṃ ca pitaraṃ ca sākamajanayathāstanva1ḥ svāyāḥ
Who of your great-minded seers first reached the end of this assembly? They did not increase mother or father together with the people of the body’s own kin.

च॒त्वारि॑ ते असु॒र्या॑णि॒ नामादा॑भ्यानि महि॒षस्य॑ सन्ति । त्वम॒ङ्ग तानि॒ विश्वा॑नि वित्से॒ येभिः॒ कर्मा॑णि मघवञ्च॒कर्थ॑
catvāri te asuryāṇi nāmādābhyāni mahiṣasya santi tvamaṅga tāni viśvāni vitse yebhiḥ karmāṇi maghavañcakartha
Four hostile kinds, named abodes of the buffalo, exist. O limb, you permeate all these—through which deeds did the splendid one perform (them)?

त्वं विश्वा॑ दधिषे॒ केव॑लानि॒ यान्या॒विर्या च॒ गुहा॒ वसू॑नि । काम॒मिन्मे॑ मघव॒न्मा वि ता॑री॒स्त्वमा॑ज्ञा॒ता त्वमि॑न्द्रासि दा॒ता
tvaṃ viśvā dadhiṣe kevalāni yānyāviryā ca guhā vasūni kāmaminme maghavanmā vi tārīstvamājñātā tvamindrāsi dātā
You uphold the universe, the solitary and the many, those virile ones and the hidden dwellers. Grant me desire, Mighavan; do not withhold—unknowing, you are Indra, bestower.

यो अद॑धा॒ज्ज्योति॑षि॒ ज्योति॑र॒न्तर्यो असृ॑ज॒न्मधु॑ना॒ सं मधू॑नि । अध॑ प्रि॒यं शू॒षमिन्द्रा॑य॒ मन्म॑ ब्रह्म॒कृतो॑ बृ॒हदु॑क्थादवाचि
yo adadhājjyotiṣi jyotirantaryo asṛjanmadhunā saṃ madhūni adha priyaṃ śūṣamindrāya manma brahmakṛto bṛhadukthādavāci
He who placed light into the lights fashioned sweetness from the sweet—he made across the bright honey. Dear to the mighty, praised Indra, the maker of the sacred, spoke the great hymn.
