उषो॑ भ॒द्रेभि॒रा ग॑हि दि॒वश्चि॑द्रोच॒नादधि॑ । वह॑न्त्वरु॒णप्स॑व॒ उप॑ त्वा सो॒मिनो॑ गृ॒हम्
uṣo bhadrebhirā gahi divaścidrocanādadhi vahantvaruṇapsava upa tvā somino gṛham
O Dawn, take hold of the blessed ones and pierce open the sky’s aperture; bearing you, O bearers of Rudra’s might, the Somavessel returns home.

सु॒पेश॑सं सु॒खं रथं॒ यम॒ध्यस्था॑ उष॒स्त्वम् । तेना॑ सु॒श्रव॑सं॒ जनं॒ प्रावा॒द्य दु॑हितर्दिवः
supeśasaṃ sukhaṃ rathaṃ yamadhyasthā uṣastvam tenā suśravasaṃ janaṃ prāvādya duhitardivaḥ
You, Dawn, are the richly furnished, pleasant chariot whose seat is Yama’s middle; by you the famed folk were borne forth and the daughter of heaven was driven away.

वय॑श्चित्ते पत॒त्रिणो॑ द्वि॒पच्चतु॑ष्पदर्जुनि । उषः॒ प्रार॑न्नृ॒तूँरनु॑ दि॒वो अन्ते॑भ्य॒स्परि॑
vayaścitte patatriṇo dvipaccatuṣpadarjuni uṣaḥ prārannṛtūm̐ranu divo antebhyaspari
In your mind are the two-footed and four-footed beings and the chariot; Dawn follows the course of cosmic law from the rising to the setting of the day.

व्यु॒च्छन्ती॒ हि र॒श्मिभि॒र्विश्व॑मा॒भासि॑ रोच॒नम् । तां त्वामु॑षर्वसू॒यवो॑ गी॒र्भिः कण्वा॑ अहूषत
vyucchantī hi raśmibhirviśvamābhāsi rocanam tāṃ tvāmuṣarvasūyavo gīrbhiḥ kaṇvā ahūṣata
Smiting with rays, she disperses the shining brightness everywhere; the Kanvas invoked her with hymns, calling upon the bright Daksha-born one.
