आ व॒ इन्द्रं॒ क्रिविं॑ यथा वाज॒यन्तः॑ श॒तक्र॑तुम् । मंहि॑ष्ठं सिञ्च॒ इन्दु॑भिः
ā va indraṃ kriviṃ yathā vājayantaḥ śatakratum maṃhiṣṭhaṃ siñca indubhiḥ
Come now to Indra as they perform the ritual cry of kṛvi like those who offer a hundredfold; pour forth the honored libation with the spoons.

श॒तं वा॒ यः शुची॑नां स॒हस्रं॑ वा॒ समा॑शिराम् । एदु॑ नि॒म्नं न री॑यते
śataṃ vā yaḥ śucīnāṃ sahasraṃ vā samāśirām edu nimnaṃ na rīyate
Whether a hundred or a thousand of the pure ones sit together, he does not accept the low-minded one;

saṃ yanmadāya śuṣmiṇa enā hyasyodare samudro na vyaco dadhe
He nourishes that one with lustre who is moved by joyous desire in his belly; the ocean did not spare him from speech.

अ॒यमु॑ ते॒ सम॑तसि क॒पोत॑ इव गर्भ॒धिम् । वच॒स्तच्चि॑न्न ओहसे
ayamu te samatasi kapota iva garbhadhim vacastaccinna ohase
May this one of yours sit down like a pigeon that has taken to the womb; may speech cut it asunder.

स्तो॒त्रं रा॑धानां पते॒ गिर्वा॑हो वीर॒ यस्य॑ ते । विभू॑तिरस्तु सू॒नृता॑
stotraṃ rādhānāṃ pate girvāho vīra yasya te vibhūtirastu sūnṛtā
Praise is the chariot‑lord of the Radhans, the brave for whom the word is a bull; may his splendour not be false.

ūrdhvastiṣṭhā na ūtaye'sminvāje śatakrato samanyeṣu bravāvahai
Stand up high, not downwards, in this ritual of Vāja, O Shatakratu; among equals speak forth.

योगे॑योगे त॒वस्त॑रं॒ वाजे॑वाजे हवामहे । सखा॑य॒ इन्द्र॑मू॒तये॑
yogeyoge tavastaraṃ vājevāje havāmahe sakhāya indramūtaye
In union and disunion we invoke thy banner in Vāja, we call thee friend to bring down Indra.

आ घा॑ गम॒द्यदि॒ श्रव॑त्सह॒स्रिणी॑भिरू॒तिभिः॑ । वाजे॑भि॒रुप॑ नो॒ हव॑म्
ā ghā gamadyadi śravatsahasriṇībhirūtibhiḥ vājebhirupa no havam
If he come, having heard with thousands of shouts and cries, may we offer oblation to him with the Vājas.

अनु॑ प्र॒त्नस्यौक॑सो हु॒वे तु॑विप्र॒तिं नर॑म् । यं ते॒ पूर्वं॑ पि॒ता हु॒वे
anu pratnasyaukaso huve tuvipratiṃ naram yaṃ te pūrvaṃ pitā huve
I invoke the near‑striving one who approaches; thou art the worthy man whom thy father invoked before.

तं त्वा॑ व॒यं वि॑श्ववा॒रा शा॑स्महे पुरुहूत । सखे॑ वसो जरि॒तृभ्यः॑
taṃ tvā vayaṃ viśvavārā śāsmahe puruhūta sakhe vaso jaritṛbhyaḥ
To thee, O all‑powerful, we proclaim the best, O sacrificer; O friend, abide with the aged ones.

अ॒स्माकं॑ शि॒प्रिणी॑नां॒ सोम॑पाः सोम॒पाव्ना॑म् । सखे॑ वज्रि॒न्सखी॑नाम्
asmākaṃ śipriṇīnāṃ somapāḥ somapāvnām sakhe vajrinsakhīnām
May Soma‑drinkers, our swift benefactors, receive Soma, O friend of the strong, friends of men.

तथा॒ तद॑स्तु सोमपाः॒ सखे॑ वज्रि॒न्तथा॑ कृणु । यथा॑ त उ॒श्मसी॒ष्टये॑
tathā tadastu somapāḥ sakhe vajrintathā kṛṇu yathā ta uśmasīṣṭaye
Thus also may the Soma‑drinkers, O friend, make offerings of strength, as one who preserves warmth.

रे॒वती॑र्नः सध॒माद॒ इन्द्रे॑ सन्तु तु॒विवा॑जाः । क्षु॒मन्तो॒ याभि॒र्मदे॑म
revatīrnaḥ sadhamāda indre santu tuvivājāḥ kṣumanto yābhirmadema
May Revati and the assembly be with Indra; may thy songs smear us with joyous draughts of mead.

ā gha tvāvāntmanāptaḥ stotṛbhyo dhṛṣṇaviyānaḥ ṛṇorakṣaṃ na cakryoḥ
O Agni, you who sat down within us, mighty to be praised, do not take away the protector of debt; do not seize him.

ā yadduvaḥ śatakratavā kāmaṃ jaritṝṇām ṛṇorakṣaṃ na śacībhiḥ
What you have, O giver of hundredfold gifts, is the desire of the old; do not take away the protector of debt, O gracious ones.

शश्व॒दिन्द्रः॒ पोप्रु॑थद्भिर्जिगाय॒ नान॑दद्भिः॒ शाश्व॑सद्भि॒र्धना॑नि । स नो॑ हिरण्यर॒थं दं॒सना॑वा॒न्स नः॑ सनि॒ता स॒नये॒ स नो॑ऽदात्
śaśvadindraḥ popruthadbhirjigāya nānadadbhiḥ śāśvasadbhirdhanāni sa no hiraṇyarathaṃ daṃsanāvānsa naḥ sanitā sanaye sa no'dāt
Indra constantly departed, returning with conquests and joys, bearing wealth with breath; may he give us the golden chariot, the pair of tusks for our aid.

आश्वि॑ना॒वश्वा॑वत्ये॒षा या॑तं॒ शवी॑रया । गोम॑द्दस्रा॒ हिर॑ण्यवत्
āśvināvaśvāvatyeṣā yātaṃ śavīrayā gomaddasrā hiraṇyavat
The Ashvins’ mares bore that bright chariot splendidly; they gave cows, swift and rich in gold.

स॒मा॒नयो॑जनो॒ हि वां॒ रथो॑ दस्रा॒वम॑र्त्यः । स॒मु॒द्रे अ॑श्वि॒नेय॑ते
samānayojano hi vāṃ ratho dasrāvamartyaḥ samudre aśvineyate
The similarly yoked chariot indeed is yours, O ten‑stringed steed of the undying; the Ashvins carry it to the ocean.

न्य१॒॑घ्न्यस्य॑ मू॒र्धनि॑ च॒क्रं रथ॑स्य येमथुः । परि॒ द्याम॒न्यदी॑यते
nya1ghnyasya mūrdhani cakraṃ rathasya yemathuḥ pari dyāmanyadīyate
The axle does not strike the head of the uninjured charioteer; the wheel of the chariot is set all around the sky.

कस्त॑ उषः कधप्रिये भु॒जे मर्तो॑ अमर्त्ये । कं न॑क्षसे विभावरि
kasta uṣaḥ kadhapriye bhuje marto amartye kaṃ nakṣase vibhāvari
Who is the dawn, who the dear one, who is the arm to the mortal among immortals? Whom do you behold across the waters?

व॒यं हि ते॒ अम॑न्म॒ह्यान्ता॒दा प॑रा॒कात् । अश्वे॒ न चि॑त्रे अरुषि
vayaṃ hi te amanmahyāntādā parākāt aśve na citre aruṣi
We indeed are those mighty ones from beyond, coming forth from the far side; the horse is not spotted on the plain.

त्वं त्येभि॒रा ग॑हि॒ वाजे॑भिर्दुहितर्दिवः । अ॒स्मे र॒यिं नि धा॑रय
tvaṃ tyebhirā gahi vājebhirduhitardivaḥ asme rayiṃ ni dhāraya
Seize for us with those riches, O you swift ones, the daughters of heaven; place wealth for us.
