प्र दे॒वमच्छा॒ मधु॑मन्त॒ इन्द॒वोऽसि॑ष्यदन्त॒ गाव॒ आ न धे॒नवः॑ । ब॒र्हि॒षदो॑ वच॒नाव॑न्त॒ ऊध॑भिः परि॒स्रुत॑मु॒स्रिया॑ नि॒र्णिजं॑ धिरे
pra devamacchā madhumanta indavo'siṣyadanta gāva ā na dhenavaḥ barhiṣado vacanāvanta ūdhabhiḥ parisrutamusriyā nirṇijaṃ dhire
O gods, favor the rich in honey; Indra, may you increase the cattle and kine. The singers' lofty words, spread through the fields, bring forth the resolute extractor of clarified juice.

स रोरु॑वद॒भि पूर्वा॑ अचिक्रददुपा॒रुहः॑ श्र॒थय॑न्स्वादते॒ हरिः॑ । ति॒रः प॒वित्रं॑ परि॒यन्नु॒रु ज्रयो॒ नि शर्या॑णि दधते दे॒व आ वर॑म्
sa roruvadabhi pūrvā acikradadupāruhaḥ śrathayansvādate hariḥ tiraḥ pavitraṃ pariyannuru jrayo ni śaryāṇi dadhate deva ā varam
He, having cried aloud, first proclaimed, ascending the heights; the praise-loving Hari rejoiced. Crossing the sacred brook he encircled it, and the gods placed the best of offerings.

वि यो म॒मे य॒म्या॑ संय॒ती मदः॑ साकं॒वृधा॒ पय॑सा पिन्व॒दक्षि॑ता । म॒ही अ॑पा॒रे रज॑सी वि॒वेवि॑ददभि॒व्रज॒न्नक्षि॑तं॒ पाज॒ आ द॑दे
vi yo mame yamyā saṃyatī madaḥ sākaṃvṛdhā payasā pinvadakṣitā mahī apāre rajasī vivevidadabhivrajannakṣitaṃ pāja ā dade
Whoever with me, O Yamyā, unites, plentiful in strength, drinks the milk with gladness. The broad earth, rich in waters, revealed and scattered the shining drops, bestowing nourishment.

स मा॒तरा॑ वि॒चर॑न्वा॒जय॑न्न॒पः प्र मेधि॑रः स्व॒धया॑ पिन्वते प॒दम् । अं॒शुर्यवे॑न पिपिशे य॒तो नृभिः॒ सं जा॒मिभि॒र्नस॑ते॒ रक्ष॑ते॒ शिरः॑
sa mātarā vicaranvājayannapaḥ pra medhiraḥ svadhayā pinvate padam aṃśuryavena pipiśe yato nṛbhiḥ saṃ jāmibhirnasate rakṣate śiraḥ
Mothers move about, bestowing life; waters, the wise one, pour with sacrifice at the foot. He drank the ray like the sun; from men the streams bring forth offspring, and the head is protected.

सं दक्षे॑ण॒ मन॑सा जायते क॒विरृ॒तस्य॒ गर्भो॒ निहि॑तो य॒मा प॒रः । यूना॑ ह॒ सन्ता॑ प्रथ॒मं वि ज॑ज्ञतु॒र्गुहा॑ हि॒तं जनि॑म॒ नेम॒मुद्य॑तम्
saṃ dakṣeṇa manasā jāyate kavirṛtasya garbho nihito yamā paraḥ yūnā ha santā prathamaṃ vi jajñaturguhā hitaṃ janima nemamudyatam
By dextrous mind is born the seer; the embryo of truth was struck down, Yama the other. Thus they who were first purified celebrated the cave, the ordained law beginning to rise.

म॒न्द्रस्य॑ रू॒पं वि॑विदुर्मनी॒षिणः॑ श्ये॒नो यदन्धो॒ अभ॑रत्परा॒वतः॑ । तं म॑र्जयन्त सु॒वृधं॑ न॒दीष्वाँ उ॒शन्त॑मं॒शुं प॑रि॒यन्त॑मृ॒ग्मिय॑म्
mandrasya rūpaṃ vividurmanīṣiṇaḥ śyeno yadandho abharatparāvataḥ taṃ marjayanta suvṛdhaṃ nadīṣvām̐ uśantamaṃśuṃ pariyantamṛgmiyam
The form of the slow-witted the thoughtful ones discerned: a falcon, blind, bore it from the distant quarter. They cleanse him, the wide-growing one, in rivers, surrounding the wet limb like a beast.

त्वां मृ॑जन्ति॒ दश॒ योष॑णः सु॒तं सोम॒ ऋषि॑भिर्म॒तिभि॑र्धी॒तिभि॑र्हि॒तम् । अव्यो॒ वारे॑भिरु॒त दे॒वहू॑तिभि॒र्नृभि॑र्य॒तो वाज॒मा द॑र्षि सा॒तये॑
tvāṃ mṛjanti daśa yoṣaṇaḥ sutaṃ soma ṛṣibhirmatibhirdhītibhirhitam avyo vārebhiruta devahūtibhirnṛbhiryato vājamā darṣi sātaye
Ten maidens anointed you, O son of Soma, the seers with thoughts, with songs and hymns duly placed. Unblemished by vows, with god-offerings and men they furnished wealth; they pressed you in steeds.

प॒रि॒प्र॒यन्तं॑ व॒य्यं॑ सुषं॒सदं॒ सोमं॑ मनी॒षा अ॒भ्य॑नूषत॒ स्तुभः॑ । यो धार॑या॒ मधु॑माँ ऊ॒र्मिणा॑ दि॒व इय॑र्ति॒ वाचं॑ रयि॒षाळम॑र्त्यः
pariprayantaṃ vayyaṃ suṣaṃsadaṃ somaṃ manīṣā abhyanūṣata stubhaḥ yo dhārayā madhumām̐ ūrmiṇā diva iyarti vācaṃ rayiṣāḷamartyaḥ
The praised Soma, famed in counsel, adorned with thought, sang praises. He, bearing the honey-like stream with current, openly lifted the speech of the generous-hearted mortal.

अ॒यं दि॒व इ॑यर्ति॒ विश्व॒मा रजः॒ सोमः॑ पुना॒नः क॒लशे॑षु सीदति । अ॒द्भिर्गोभि॑र्मृज्यते॒ अद्रि॑भिः सु॒तः पु॑ना॒न इन्दु॒र्वरि॑वो विदत्प्रि॒यम्
ayaṃ diva iyarti viśvamā rajaḥ somaḥ punānaḥ kalaśeṣu sīdati adbhirgobhirmṛjyate adribhiḥ sutaḥ punāna indurvarivo vidatpriyam
This Soma increases this day; the whole vibrant Soma wells in the new vessels and settles. He is agitated by cows, he is stirred by mountains; the renewed moon is like a stream, delightful to the waters.

ए॒वा नः॑ सोम परिषि॒च्यमा॑नो॒ वयो॒ दध॑च्चि॒त्रत॑मं पवस्व । अ॒द्वे॒षे द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी हु॑वेम॒ देवा॑ ध॒त्त र॒यिम॒स्मे सु॒वीर॑म्
evā naḥ soma pariṣicyamāno vayo dadhaccitratamaṃ pavasva adveṣe dyāvāpṛthivī huvema devā dhatta rayimasme suvīram
Thus for us Soma, being anointed, bestows upon us the wondrous power, the purifier. May he with twofold might invoke heaven and earth; the gods grant us the radiant strength.
