uṣo na jāraḥ pṛthu pājo aśreddavidyutaddīdyacchośucānaḥ vṛṣā hariḥ śucirā bhāti bhāsā dhiyo hinvāna uśatīrajīgaḥ
Dawn, not old, widely spread, radiant with tears of light, O shining, child of waters. The pure ploughing Hari shines; may light of speech pierce the minds and remove the night’s bonds.

sva1rṇa vastoruṣasāmaroci yajñaṃ tanvānā uśijo na manma agnirjanmāni deva ā vi vidvāndravaddūto devayāvā vaniṣṭhaḥ
Golden-clad, adorned with gleaming plumes, you made the sacrifice strong; youth-born Ushija, not turned aside. Agni, knower at births, wise one who discerns the gods, messenger and granter, long-lived and eminent.

acchā giro matayo devayantīragniṃ yanti draviṇaṃ bhikṣamāṇāḥ susaṃdṛśaṃ supratīkaṃ svañcaṃ havyavāhamaratiṃ mānuṣāṇām
Blessed words, minds of gods coming to Agni, go to him seeking wealth like beggars. Like a well-formed, agreeable oblation I, the havyavaha, bring the immortal offering for men.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 7, Sukta 10 · Verse 7.10.4
indraṃ no agne vasubhiḥ sajoṣā rudraṃ rudrebhirā vahā bṛhantam ādityebhiraditiṃ viśvajanyāṃ bṛhaspatimṛkvabhirviśvavāram
Bring Indra for us, Agni, with the Vasus in union; bring Rudra with the Rudras, majestic. With the Adityas bring the light that makes the people one; with Brihaspati and the Maruts bring the universal protector.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 7, Sukta 10 · Verse 7.10.5
mandraṃ hotāramuśijo yaviṣṭhamagniṃ viśa īḷate adhvareṣu sa hi kṣapāvām̐ abhavadrayīṇāmatandro dūto yajathāya devān
The priest who offers slowly invokes the slow-moving Agni, the most mature, by hymns on the altars. For he became the breaker of fetters of the swift ones; the messenger brought the rites to the gods.
