The priest who offers slowly invokes the slow-moving Agni, the most mature, by hymns on the altars. For he became the breaker of fetters of the swift ones; the messenger brought the rites to the gods.
Men desiring him celebrate at sacrifices the youthful Agni, the giver of delight, the invoker of the gods;he, the ruler of the night, has been the diligent envoy of the opulent (instrumental tutors of sacrifices) for the worship ofthe gods.
Men eagerly implore at sacrifices Agni, Most Youthful God, the joyous Herald. For he is Lord and Ruler over riches, and for Gods' worship an unwearied envoy.
