इ॒यम॑ददाद्रभ॒समृ॑ण॒च्युतं॒ दिवो॑दासं वध्र्य॒श्वाय॑ दा॒शुषे॑ । या शश्व॑न्तमाच॒खादा॑व॒सं प॒णिं ता ते॑ दा॒त्राणि॑ तवि॒षा स॑रस्वति
iyamadadādrabhasamṛṇacyutaṃ divodāsaṃ vadhryaśvāya dāśuṣe yā śaśvantamācakhādāvasaṃ paṇiṃ tā te dātrāṇi taviṣā sarasvati
This gave, beginning the unbroken (stream), the undying, the shining giver from heaven to the swift horses of the lord of hosts; she who nourishes the everlasting, Sarasvatī, gave you sustaining waters and streams.

इ॒यं शुष्मे॑भिर्बिस॒खा इ॑वारुज॒त्सानु॑ गिरी॒णां त॑वि॒षेभि॑रू॒र्मिभिः॑ । पा॒रा॒व॒त॒घ्नीमव॑से सुवृ॒क्तिभिः॒ सर॑स्वती॒मा वि॑वासेम धी॒तिभिः॑
iyaṃ śuṣmebhirbisakhā ivārujatsānu girīṇāṃ taviṣebhirūrmibhiḥ pārāvataghnīmavase suvṛktibhiḥ sarasvatīmā vivāsema dhītibhiḥ
This Sarasvatī, with tenacious streams like braided currents, rose up over the mountains with purifying flows; she settled as the fire-vanquishing, well-formed bestower of blessings — may she grant us understanding.

सर॑स्वति देव॒निदो॒ नि ब॑र्हय प्र॒जां विश्व॑स्य॒ बृस॑यस्य मा॒यिनः॑ । उ॒त क्षि॒तिभ्यो॒ऽवनी॑रविन्दो वि॒षमे॑भ्यो अस्रवो वाजिनीवति
sarasvati devanido ni barhaya prajāṃ viśvasya bṛsayasya māyinaḥ uta kṣitibhyo'vanīravindo viṣamebhyo asravo vājinīvati
O Sarasvatī, goddess of men, release the progeny of the universal powerful one, the mighty artificer; from the earth and waters, from hostile floods and perilous currents, let the flow, the vigorous stream, be set free.

Accept our prayer, goddess Sarasvatī, potent in might and victorious in powers; protect the wise.

यस्त्वा॑ देवि सरस्वत्युपब्रू॒ते धने॑ हि॒ते । इन्द्रं॒ न वृ॑त्र॒तूर्ये॑
yastvā devi sarasvatyupabrūte dhane hite indraṃ na vṛtratūrye
She who addresses you, O goddess Sarasvatī, with thoughts for wealth and welfare — may she not be an enemy to Indra the slayer of Vṛtra.

त्वं दे॑वि सरस्व॒त्यवा॒ वाजे॑षु वाजिनि । रदा॑ पू॒षेव॑ नः स॒निम्
tvaṃ devi sarasvatyavā vājeṣu vājini radā pūṣeva naḥ sanim
You, O goddess Sarasvatī, among powers are the puissant ones in strength; be gracious to us like Pūṣan, grant us the morning light.

उ॒त स्या नः॒ सर॑स्वती घो॒रा हिर॑ण्यवर्तनिः । वृ॒त्र॒घ्नी व॑ष्टि सुष्टु॒तिम्
uta syā naḥ sarasvatī ghorā hiraṇyavartaniḥ vṛtraghnī vaṣṭi suṣṭutim
May Sarasvatī, dreadful, of golden hue, drive down the Vṛtra-slayer; may she acclaim the well-pleasing praise.

यस्या॑ अन॒न्तो अह्रु॑तस्त्वे॒षश्च॑रि॒ष्णुर॑र्ण॒वः । अम॒श्चर॑ति॒ रोरु॑वत्
yasyā ananto ahrutastveṣaścariṣṇurarṇavaḥ amaścarati roruvat
She whose course none measure, whose waves are a spreading sea: she moves like foam, roaring like a stream.

सा नो॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषः॒ स्वसॄ॑र॒न्या ऋ॒ताव॑री । अत॒न्नहे॑व॒ सूर्यः॑
sā no viśvā ati dviṣaḥ svasṝranyā ṛtāvarī atannaheva sūryaḥ
She, overcoming all enmities, flows with her sisters through laws and orders; even the sun does not surpass her.

uta naḥ priyā priyāsu saptasvasā sujuṣṭā sarasvatī stomyā bhūt
And she is dear to us, the beloved of beloveds, the well-observed sevenfold, Sarasvatī is to be praised.

āpapruṣī pārthivānyuru rajo antarikṣam sarasvatī nidaspātu
She poured forth rivers from the earth into the atmosphere, the rain-bearing flood; Sarasvatī be guardian of the realm between.

triṣadhasthā saptadhātuḥ pañca jātā vardhayantī vājevāje havyā bhūt
Threefold, sevenfold the element, born fivefold and increasing; be offered with praises in the ritual of power.

प्र या म॑हि॒म्ना म॒हिना॑सु॒ चेकि॑ते द्यु॒म्नेभि॑र॒न्या अ॒पसा॑म॒पस्त॑मा । रथ॑ इव बृह॒ती वि॒भ्वने॑ कृ॒तोप॒स्तुत्या॑ चिकि॒तुषा॒ सर॑स्वती
pra yā mahimnā mahināsu cekite dyumnebhiranyā apasāmapastamā ratha iva bṛhatī vibhvane kṛtopastutyā cikituṣā sarasvatī
By her great might, through the widespread heavens and waters she was invoked; like a mighty chariot she spread through the broad world — Sarasvatī was praised by the ritualist's skill.

सर॑स्वत्य॒भि नो॑ नेषि॒ वस्यो॒ माप॑ स्फरीः॒ पय॑सा॒ मा न॒ आ ध॑क् । जु॒षस्व॑ नः स॒ख्या वे॒श्या॑ च॒ मा त्वत्क्षेत्रा॒ण्यर॑णानि गन्म
sarasvatyabhi no neṣi vasyo māpa spharīḥ payasā mā na ā dhak juṣasva naḥ sakhyā veśyā ca mā tvatkṣetrāṇyaraṇāni ganma
Sarasvatī, grant us control, be generous with milk and give not our wealth away; let your fields and grazing grounds not be taken — grant us comrades and wives.
