iyaṃ śuṣmebhirbisakhā ivārujatsānu girīṇāṃ taviṣebhirūrmibhiḥ pārāvataghnīmavase suvṛktibhiḥ sarasvatīmā vivāsema dhītibhiḥ
This Sarasvatī, with tenacious streams like braided currents, rose up over the mountains with purifying flows; she settled as the fire-vanquishing, well-formed bestower of blessings — may she grant us understanding.
With impetuous and mighty waves she breaks down the precipices of the mountains, like a digger for the lotus fibres; we adore for our protection, the praises and with sacred rites, Sarasvatī the underminer of both her banks.
She with her might, like one who digs for lotus-stems, hath burst with her strong waves the ridges of the hills. Let us invite with songs and holy hymns for help Sarasvati who slayeth the Paravatas.
