By her great might, through the widespread heavens and waters she was invoked; like a mighty chariot she spread through the broad world — Sarasvatī was praised by the ritualist's skill.
She who is disinguished among them as eminent in greatness and in her glories; she who is the most impetuous of all other streams; she who as been created vast in capacity as a chariot, she, Sarasvatī, is to be glorified by the discree (worshippers)
Marked out by majesty among the Mighty Ones, in glory swifter than the other rapid Streams, Created vast for victory like a chariot, Sarasvati must be extolled by every sage.
