sarasvati devanido ni barhaya prajāṃ viśvasya bṛsayasya māyinaḥ uta kṣitibhyo'vanīravindo viṣamebhyo asravo vājinīvati
O Sarasvatī, goddess of men, release the progeny of the universal powerful one, the mighty artificer; from the earth and waters, from hostile floods and perilous currents, let the flow, the vigorous stream, be set free.
Destroy, Sarasvatī, the revilers of the gods, the offspring of the universal deluder, Bṛsaya; giver of sustenance, you have acquired for men the lands (seized by the asuras), and have showered water upon them.
Thou castest down, Sarasvati, those who scorned the Gods, the brood of every Brsaya skilled in magic arts. Thou hast discovered rivers for the tribes of men, and, rich in wealth! made poison flow away from them.
