अपा॑दि॒त उदु॑ नश्चि॒त्रत॑मो म॒हीं भ॑र्षद्द्यु॒मती॒मिन्द्र॑हूतिम् । पन्य॑सीं धी॒तिं दैव्य॑स्य॒ याम॒ञ्जन॑स्य रा॒तिं व॑नते सु॒दानुः॑
apādita udu naścitratamo mahīṃ bharṣaddyumatīmindrahūtim panyasīṃ dhītiṃ daivyasya yāmañjanasya rātiṃ vanate sudānuḥ
He who spoke forth, the wondrous announcer, struck the earth and called Indra with a thought full of heaven and power. He gave the divine counsel, nightlike, bringing the dark road of the realm.

दू॒राच्चि॒दा व॑सतो अस्य॒ कर्णा॒ घोषा॒दिन्द्र॑स्य तन्यति ब्रुवा॒णः । एयमे॑नं दे॒वहू॑तिर्ववृत्यान्म॒द्र्य१॒॑गिन्द्र॑मि॒यमृ॒च्यमा॑ना
dūrāccidā vasato asya karṇā ghoṣādindrasya tanyati bruvāṇaḥ eyamenaṃ devahūtirvavṛtyānmadrya1gindramiyamṛcyamānā
Far and wide the dwelling’s ears hear the cries of Indra. This divine oblation revealed the Maruts’ might; the intoxicating, unmeasured Marut-urge stirred Indra with boundless force.

तं वो॑ धि॒या प॑र॒मया॑ पुरा॒जाम॒जर॒मिन्द्र॑म॒भ्य॑नूष्य॒र्कैः । ब्रह्मा॑ च॒ गिरो॑ दधि॒रे सम॑स्मिन्म॒हाँश्च॒ स्तोमो॒ अधि॑ वर्ध॒दिन्द्रे॑
taṃ vo dhiyā paramayā purājāmajaramindramabhyanūṣyarkaiḥ brahmā ca giro dadhire samasminmahām̐śca stomo adhi vardhadindre
May that highest thought, O ancestral chiefs, approach Indra with hymns; Brahma and the slow-voiced praise in this great song increase for Indra.

वर्धा॒द्यं य॒ज्ञ उ॒त सोम॒ इन्द्रं॒ वर्धा॒द्ब्रह्म॒ गिर॑ उ॒क्था च॒ मन्म॑ । वर्धाहै॑नमु॒षसो॒ याम॑न्न॒क्तोर्वर्धा॒न्मासाः॑ श॒रदो॒ द्याव॒ इन्द्र॑म्
vardhādyaṃ yajña uta soma indraṃ vardhādbrahma gira ukthā ca manma vardhāhainamuṣaso yāmannaktorvardhānmāsāḥ śarado dyāva indram
May the growing sacred gift and Soma increase Indra; may the Brahma-spoken hymn augment him. From the increased sacrifice come months and autumns, may they strengthen Indra's heaven.

ए॒वा ज॑ज्ञा॒नं सह॑से॒ असा॑मि वावृधा॒नं राध॑से च श्रु॒ताय॑ । म॒हामु॒ग्रमव॑से विप्र नू॒नमा वि॑वासेम वृत्र॒तूर्ये॑षु
evā jajñānaṃ sahase asāmi vāvṛdhānaṃ rādhase ca śrutāya mahāmugramavase vipra nūnamā vivāsema vṛtratūryeṣu
Thus I have offered sacrifice with strength; I am not boastful, I am faithful to what I have heard. With great might I will dispatch the priest among those who oppose the Vṛtra-born ones.
