स॒त्रा मदा॑स॒स्तव॑ वि॒श्वज॑न्याः स॒त्रा रायोऽध॒ ये पार्थि॑वासः । स॒त्रा वाजा॑नामभवो विभ॒क्ता यद्दे॒वेषु॑ धा॒रय॑था असु॒र्य॑म्
satrā madāsastava viśvajanyāḥ satrā rāyo'dha ye pārthivāsaḥ satrā vājānāmabhavo vibhaktā yaddeveṣu dhārayathā asuryam
The hosts of pride are your universal ones, hosts are the streams of wealth that dwell in the earth. The hosts of the people and those of cattle were divided, what they held among the gods sustained the harmful (asuric) ones.

अनु॒ प्र ये॑जे॒ जन॒ ओजो॑ अस्य स॒त्रा द॑धिरे॒ अनु॑ वी॒र्या॑य । स्यू॒म॒गृभे॒ दुध॒येऽर्व॑ते च॒ क्रतुं॑ वृञ्ज॒न्त्यपि॑ वृत्र॒हत्ये॑
anu pra yeje jana ojo asya satrā dadhire anu vīryāya syūmagṛbhe dudhaye'rvate ca kratuṃ vṛñjantyapi vṛtrahatye
Then those who accepted this vigor gave it for heroic deeds. They, grasping udders, milked the kine—performing the rite—even to slaying Vritra.

तं स॒ध्रीची॑रू॒तयो॒ वृष्ण्या॑नि॒ पौंस्या॑नि नि॒युतः॑ सश्चु॒रिन्द्र॑म् । स॒मु॒द्रं न सिन्ध॑व उ॒क्थशु॑ष्मा उरु॒व्यच॑सं॒ गिर॒ आ वि॑शन्ति
taṃ sadhrīcīrūtayo vṛṣṇyāni pauṃsyāni niyutaḥ saścurindram samudraṃ na sindhava ukthaśuṣmā uruvyacasaṃ gira ā viśanti
That throng with firm chariot-bands, beating the drums, set Indra in array. The ocean, not the river, the songs and warmth enter widely into the mountain.

स रा॒यस्खामुप॑ सृजा गृणा॒नः पु॑रुश्च॒न्द्रस्य॒ त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ वस्वः॑ । पति॑र्बभू॒थास॑मो॒ जना॑ना॒मेको॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ राजा॑
sa rāyaskhāmupa sṛjā gṛṇānaḥ puruścandrasya tvamindra vasvaḥ patirbabhūthāsamo janānāmeko viśvasya bhuvanasya rājā
He, giver of wealth, sent down the sky and the people of the bright moon; you, O Indra Vasva, became the husband of the folk—one lord of the world, king of the universe and its realms.

स तु श्रु॑धि॒ श्रुत्या॒ यो दु॑वो॒युर्द्यौर्न भूमा॒भि रायो॑ अ॒र्यः । असो॒ यथा॑ नः॒ शव॑सा चका॒नो यु॒गेयु॑गे॒ वय॑सा॒ चेकि॑तानः
sa tu śrudhi śrutyā yo duvoyurdyaurna bhūmābhi rāyo aryaḥ aso yathā naḥ śavasā cakāno yugeyuge vayasā cekitānaḥ
He who listens by hearing, when sky and earth were distant, held the streams of wealth, as in ages the generations chanted with youth and rising songs.
