Indra came who knows the treasures to give wealth, the draughts of the cows. Let the bow-bearing leader, not overcome by rivals, drink the milky sun.

May your swift-armed, brave limbs climb quickly, O Soma, on the mountain's back. May the king, following you, not harm the champions; may all priests be delighted.

The wheelless priest trembles; my mind is struck with fear like mountain rangers. May he, wealth-bestower, ever increase your chariot's strength; let the renowned giver be praised.

This is the loud cry of the tired one; Indra speaks the mighty, wide-worded speech. With the right hand, O generous one, grant kingship; take the southward spoils, not the enemy's share.

Whether two bulls, the vigorous ones, yoked by three hundred planks as commanded, move together; may the Maruts, who drive the chariot, salute this lord of the plain.
