eṣa grāveva jaritā ta indreyarti vācaṃ bṛhadāśuṣāṇaḥ pra savyena maghavanyaṃsi rāyaḥ pra dakṣiṇiddharivo mā vi venaḥ
This is the loud cry of the tired one; Indra speaks the mighty, wide-worded speech. With the right hand, O generous one, grant kingship; take the southward spoils, not the enemy's share.
This your adorer, Indra, like the stone (that expresses the Soma juice), urges praise to you, participating in the great (reward); you bestow, Maghavan, riches with your left hand, you bestow them, lord of horses, with the right be not reluctant.
Like the press-stone is this thy praiser, Indra. Loudly he lifts his voice with strong endeavour. With thy left hand, O Maghavan, give us riches: with thy right, Lord of Bays, be not reluctant.
