दू॒तं वो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दसं हव्य॒वाह॒मम॑र्त्यम् । यजि॑ष्ठमृञ्जसे गि॒रा
dūtaṃ vo viśvavedasaṃ havyavāhamamartyam yajiṣṭhamṛñjase girā
I am your messenger, O knower of the worlds, bringer of the oblation, truthful and deathless. I have struck the foremost song with speech.

स हि वेदा॒ वसु॑धितिं म॒हाँ आ॒रोध॑नं दि॒वः । स दे॒वाँ एह व॑क्षति
sa hi vedā vasudhitiṃ mahām̐ ārodhanaṃ divaḥ sa devām̐ eha vakṣati
He indeed knows the great spreading of the earth and the raising of the heavens. He declares the gods.

स वे॑द दे॒व आ॒नमं॑ दे॒वाँ ऋ॑ताय॒ते दमे॑ । दाति॑ प्रि॒याणि॑ चि॒द्वसु॑
sa veda deva ānamaṃ devām̐ ṛtāyate dame dāti priyāṇi cidvasu
He knows the divine food; he yields the gods to Rta (cosmic law) by restraint. He gives delight and riches.

स होता॒ सेदु॑ दू॒त्यं॑ चिकि॒त्वाँ अ॒न्तरी॑यते । वि॒द्वाँ आ॒रोध॑नं दि॒वः
sa hotā sedu dūtyaṃ cikitvām̐ antarīyate vidvām̐ ārodhanaṃ divaḥ
He as priest applies the messenger's offering, ministering within. The wise one lifts up the heaven's raising.

ते स्या॑म॒ ये अ॒ग्नये॑ ददा॒शुर्ह॒व्यदा॑तिभिः । य ईं॒ पुष्य॑न्त इन्ध॒ते
te syāma ye agnaye dadāśurhavyadātibhiḥ ya īṃ puṣyanta indhate
May those who gave to Agni with sacrificial gifts be ours; he who kindles Pusyan lights them.

ते रा॒या ते सु॒वीर्यैः॑ सस॒वांसो॒ वि शृ॑ण्विरे । ये अ॒ग्ना द॑धि॒रे दुवः॑
te rāyā te suvīryaiḥ sasavāṃso vi śaṛṇvire ye agnā dadhire duvaḥ
Those are the kings, those with heroic strength, the assembly that heard the call—those whom the fires nourished made them strong.

अ॒स्मे रायो॑ दि॒वेदि॑वे॒ सं च॑रन्तु पुरु॒स्पृहः॑ । अ॒स्मे वाजा॑स ईरताम्
asme rāyo divedive saṃ carantu puruspṛhaḥ asme vājāsa īratām
May gleaming riches move around us day and night, desirous of many—may wealth be ours in right order.

स विप्र॑श्चर्षणी॒नां शव॑सा॒ मानु॑षाणाम् । अति॑ क्षि॒प्रेव॑ विध्यति
sa vipraścarṣaṇīnāṃ śavasā mānuṣāṇām ati kṣipreva vidhyati
He quickly discerns between the priests, the offerings, the funeral rites of men; he swiftly ordains what is fitting.
