अ॒न॒श्वो जा॒तो अ॑नभी॒शुरु॒क्थ्यो॒३॒॑ रथ॑स्त्रिच॒क्रः परि॑ वर्तते॒ रजः॑ । म॒हत्तद्वो॑ दे॒व्य॑स्य प्र॒वाच॑नं॒ द्यामृ॑भवः पृथि॒वीं यच्च॒ पुष्य॑थ
anaśvo jāto anabhīśurukthyo3 rathastricakraḥ pari vartate rajaḥ mahattadvo devyasya pravācanaṃ dyāmṛbhavaḥ pṛthivīṃ yacca puṣyatha
A horse was born, fearless in speech; the chariot with three wheels circles its path. Great is the utterance of this goddess: the heavens were born and the earth and also what nourishes.

रथं॒ ये च॒क्रुः सु॒वृतं॑ सु॒चेत॒सोऽवि॑ह्वरन्तं॒ मन॑स॒स्परि॒ ध्यया॑ । ताँ ऊ॒ न्व१॒॑स्य सव॑नस्य पी॒तय॒ आ वो॑ वाजा ऋभवो वेदयामसि
rathaṃ ye cakruḥ suvṛtaṃ sucetaso'vihvarantaṃ manasaspari dhyayā tām̐ ū nva1sya savanasya pītaya ā vo vājā ṛbhavo vedayāmasi
They who made the chariot well, clear-minded and bearing the ritual, meditated with thought. Thus from that libation of yours the splendid steeds became the beacons; I know their strength like cows.

तद्वो॑ वाजा ऋभवः सुप्रवाच॒नं दे॒वेषु॑ विभ्वो अभवन्महित्व॒नम् । जिव्री॒ यत्सन्ता॑ पि॒तरा॑ सना॒जुरा॒ पुन॒र्युवा॑ना च॒रथा॑य॒ तक्ष॑थ
tadvo vājā ṛbhavaḥ supravācanaṃ deveṣu vibhvo abhavanmahitvanam jivrī yatsantā pitarā sanājurā punaryuvānā carathāya takṣatha
From that your steed the radiant came forth with eloquent speech among the gods, endowed with greatness. They live whom the fathers nourished, the glowing, young, ever-moving makers of chariots.

एकं॒ वि च॑क्र चम॒सं चतु॑र्वयं॒ निश्चर्म॑णो॒ गाम॑रिणीत धी॒तिभिः॑ । अथा॑ दे॒वेष्व॑मृत॒त्वमा॑नश श्रु॒ष्टी वा॑जा ऋभव॒स्तद्व॑ उ॒क्थ्य॑म्
ekaṃ vi cakra camasaṃ caturvayaṃ niścarmaṇo gāmariṇīta dhītibhiḥ athā deveṣvamṛtatvamānaśa śruṣṭī vājā ṛbhavastadva ukthyam
One wheel and meat, fourfold—of the steadfast one who yoked the kine, driven by wise counsels. Thus among the gods the concept of immortality was placed; the radiant steed then made that proclamation.

ऋ॒भु॒तो र॒यिः प्र॑थ॒मश्र॑वस्तमो॒ वाज॑श्रुतासो॒ यमजी॑जन॒न्नरः॑ । वि॒भ्व॒त॒ष्टो वि॒दथे॑षु प्र॒वाच्यो॒ यं दे॑वा॒सोऽव॑था॒ स विच॑र्षणिः
ṛbhuto rayiḥ prathamaśravastamo vājaśrutāso yamajījanannaraḥ vibhvataṣṭo vidatheṣu pravācyo yaṃ devāso'vathā sa vicarṣaṇiḥ
Ribhus first heard the wealth, the earliest of songs; a man invented the vehicle of fame. He shone in choirs among the deeds, proclaimed among the gods him whom the heavenly hosts made their longing.

स वा॒ज्यर्वा॒ स ऋषि॑र्वच॒स्यया॒ स शूरो॒ अस्ता॒ पृत॑नासु दु॒ष्टरः॑ । स रा॒यस्पोषं॒ स सु॒वीर्यं॑ दधे॒ यं वाजो॒ विभ्वा॑ँ ऋ॒भवो॒ यमावि॑षुः
sa vājyarvā sa ṛṣirvacasyayā sa śūro astā pṛtanāsu duṣṭaraḥ sa rāyaspoṣaṃ sa suvīryaṃ dadhe yaṃ vājo vibhvām̐ ṛbhavo yamāviṣuḥ
He was the eager seer and speaker, brave, standing firm among foes, hard to overcome. He gave royal prosperity and great heroism—the steeds, the radiant Ribhus brought him near.

श्रेष्ठं॑ वः॒ पेशो॒ अधि॑ धायि दर्श॒तं स्तोमो॑ वाजा ऋभव॒स्तं जु॑जुष्टन । धीरा॑सो॒ हि ष्ठा क॒वयो॑ विप॒श्चित॒स्तान्व॑ ए॒ना ब्रह्म॒णा वे॑दयामसि
śreṣṭhaṃ vaḥ peśo adhi dhāyi darśataṃ stomo vājā ṛbhavastaṃ jujuṣṭana dhīrāso hi ṣṭhā kavayo vipaścitastānva enā brahmaṇā vedayāmasi
Best to you are fatness and strength; behold the hymn, O radiant Ribhus, you who were dedicated. Truly you are firm among wise poets; with this power I make known these deeds.

यू॒यम॒स्मभ्यं॑ धि॒षणा॑भ्य॒स्परि॑ वि॒द्वांसो॒ विश्वा॒ नर्या॑णि॒ भोज॑ना । द्यु॒मन्तं॒ वाजं॒ वृष॑शुष्ममुत्त॒ममा नो॑ र॒यिमृ॑भवस्तक्ष॒ता वयः॑
yūyamasmabhyaṃ dhiṣaṇābhyaspari vidvāṃso viśvā naryāṇi bhojanā dyumantaṃ vājaṃ vṛṣaśuṣmamuttamamā no rayimṛbhavastakṣatā vayaḥ
You of understanding are to us, knowing ones, spreaders of wisdom, all men who partake. May the bright steed of strength, the excellent, become our realm; be youthful and steadfast for us.

इ॒ह प्र॒जामि॒ह र॒यिं ररा॑णा इ॒ह श्रवो॑ वी॒रव॑त्तक्षता नः । येन॑ व॒यं चि॒तये॒मात्य॒न्यान्तं वाजं॑ चि॒त्रमृ॑भवो ददा नः
iha prajāmiha rayiṃ rarāṇā iha śravo vīravattakṣatā naḥ yena vayaṃ citayemātyanyāntaṃ vājaṃ citramṛbhavo dadā naḥ
Here is the cattle, here the wealth, here is the glorious fame, here the heard heroic success for us, by which we may extend beyond other realms and make the wondrous might of Soma ours.
