स वा॒ज्यर्वा॒ स ऋषि॑र्वच॒स्यया॒ स शूरो॒ अस्ता॒ पृत॑नासु दु॒ष्टरः॑ । स रा॒यस्पोषं॒ स सु॒वीर्यं॑ दधे॒ यं वाजो॒ विभ्वा॑ँ ऋ॒भवो॒ यमावि॑षुः
sa vājyarvā sa ṛṣirvacasyayā sa śūro astā pṛtanāsu duṣṭaraḥ sa rāyaspoṣaṃ sa suvīryaṃ dadhe yaṃ vājo vibhvām̐ ṛbhavo yamāviṣuḥ
He was the eager seer and speaker, brave, standing firm among foes, hard to overcome. He gave royal prosperity and great heroism—the steeds, the radiant Ribhus brought him near.
He is vigorous and skilled in war, he is a ṛṣi worthy of homage, he is a hero, the discomfiter of foes, invincible in battles, he is possessed of ample wealth, and (is blessed) with excellent posterity, whom Vāja and Vibhvan, whom the Ṛbhus protect.
Strong is the steed, the man a sage in eloquence, the bowman is a hero hard to beat in fight, Great store of wealth and manly power hath he obtained whom Vaja, Vibhvan, Rbhus have looked kindly on.
