वसू॑नां वा चर्कृष॒ इय॑क्षन्धि॒या वा॑ य॒ज्ञैर्वा॒ रोद॑स्योः । अर्व॑न्तो वा॒ ये र॑यि॒मन्तः॑ सा॒तौ व॒नुं वा॒ ये सु॒श्रुणं॑ सु॒श्रुतो॒ धुः
vasūnāṃ vā carkṛṣa iyakṣandhiyā vā yajñairvā rodasyoḥ arvanto vā ye rayimantaḥ sātau vanuṃ vā ye suśruṇaṃ suśruto dhuḥ
Whether as wealth or as the plough-share, as sacrificial oblations or the ritual cry—those who come bringing riches, those who are full of praise, whether they are the notable who hear well or the well-heard—

हव॑ एषा॒मसु॑रो नक्षत॒ द्यां श्र॑वस्य॒ता मन॑सा निंसत॒ क्षाम् । चक्षा॑णा॒ यत्र॑ सुवि॒ताय॑ दे॒वा द्यौर्न वारे॑भिः कृ॒णव॑न्त॒ स्वैः
hava eṣāmasuro nakṣata dyāṃ śravasyatā manasā niṃsata kṣām cakṣāṇā yatra suvitāya devā dyaurna vārebhiḥ kṛṇavanta svaiḥ
This our heroic singer is the star of heaven; may he hear with mind and grant forgiveness. Where the gods, watchful for goodness, make the sky with their aids, they fashioned it with their own powers.

इ॒यमे॑षाम॒मृता॑नां॒ गीः स॒र्वता॑ता॒ ये कृ॒पण॑न्त॒ रत्न॑म् । धियं॑ च य॒ज्ञं च॒ साध॑न्त॒स्ते नो॑ धान्तु वस॒व्य१॒॑मसा॑मि
iyameṣāmamṛtānāṃ gīḥ sarvatātā ye kṛpaṇanta ratnam dhiyaṃ ca yajñaṃ ca sādhantaste no dhāntu vasavya1masāmi
This song of those immortal ones, encompassing all, who bestow the precious jewel—may it establish thought and sacrifice; may they, O Vasus, restrain (protect) us.

आ तत्त॑ इन्द्रा॒यवः॑ पनन्ता॒भि य ऊ॒र्वं गोम॑न्तं॒ तितृ॑त्सान् । स॒कृ॒त्स्वं१॒॑ ये पु॑रुपु॒त्रां म॒हीं स॒हस्र॑धारां बृह॒तीं दुदु॑क्षन्
ā tatta indrāyavaḥ panantābhi ya ūrvaṃ gomantaṃ titṛtsān sakṛtsvaṃ1 ye puruputrāṃ mahīṃ sahasradhārāṃ bṛhatīṃ dudukṣan
So came the Indra-bearing streams, lading the broad expanse, making the uplifted kine go. Often they, who filled the thousand-fold earth with sons, pushed forth their home.

शची॑व॒ इन्द्र॒मव॑से कृणुध्व॒मना॑नतं द॒मय॑न्तं पृत॒न्यून् । ऋ॒भु॒क्षणं॑ म॒घवा॑नं सुवृ॒क्तिं भर्ता॒ यो वज्रं॒ नर्यं॑ पुरु॒क्षुः
śacīva indramavase kṛṇudhvamanānataṃ damayantaṃ pṛtanyūn ṛbhukṣaṇaṃ maghavānaṃ suvṛktiṃ bhartā yo vajraṃ naryaṃ purukṣuḥ
With lovely strength they performed Indra’s ritual, mastering the unbounded mind and humbling the proud. The skilled, mighty, generous lord bears the thunderbolt, manly among men.

यद्वा॒वान॑ पुरु॒तमं॑ पुरा॒षाळा वृ॑त्र॒हेन्द्रो॒ नामा॑न्यप्राः । अचे॑ति प्रा॒सह॒स्पति॒स्तुवि॑ष्मा॒न्यदी॑मु॒श्मसि॒ कर्त॑वे॒ कर॒त्तत्
yadvāvāna purutamaṃ purāṣāḷā vṛtrahendro nāmānyaprāḥ aceti prāsahaspatistuviṣmānyadīmuśmasi kartave karattat
When in former times the folk pressed forward, named Indra the slayer of Vritra brought them not to heel; Agni, the lord, rebuked not, the task was done by his own hand.
