प्र वो॑ म॒हे मन्द॑माना॒यान्ध॒सोऽर्चा॑ वि॒श्वान॑राय विश्वा॒भुवे॑ । इन्द्र॑स्य॒ यस्य॒ सुम॑खं॒ सहो॒ महि॒ श्रवो॑ नृ॒म्णं च॒ रोद॑सी सप॒र्यतः॑
pra vo mahe mandamānāyāndhaso'rcā viśvānarāya viśvābhuve indrasya yasya sumakhaṃ saho mahi śravo nṛmṇaṃ ca rodasī saparyataḥ
You, O Great, moved gently, like blind splendour, the incense for the all‑moving one; you became all. For Indra whose lovely face was with the great fame, the plant and man made offerings with streaming tearful hymns.

सो चि॒न्नु सख्या॒ नर्य॑ इ॒नः स्तु॒तश्च॒र्कृत्य॒ इन्द्रो॒ माव॑ते॒ नरे॑ । विश्वा॑सु धू॒र्षु वा॑ज॒कृत्ये॑षु सत्पते वृ॒त्रे वा॒प्स्व१॒॑भि शू॑र मन्दसे
so cinnu sakhyā narya inaḥ stutaścarkṛtya indro māvate nare viśvāsu dhūrṣu vājakṛtyeṣu satpate vṛtre vāpsva1bhi śūra mandase
He cut off the friendship of men; praised in song, Indra did not delight in men. All born ones, in fierce deeds, in mighty acts and in waters and roads, the hero stood firm and pleased at the stallions.

के ते नर॑ इन्द्र॒ ये त॑ इ॒षे ये ते॑ सु॒म्नं स॑ध॒न्य१॒॑मिय॑क्षान् । के ते॒ वाजा॑यासु॒र्या॑य हिन्विरे॒ के अ॒प्सु स्वासू॒र्वरा॑सु॒ पौंस्ये॑
ke te nara indra ye ta iṣe ye te sumnaṃ sadhanya1miyakṣān ke te vājāyāsuryāya hinvire ke apsu svāsūrvarāsu pauṃsye
Who are those men, O Indra, whom you desire, whom you choose for the generous feast? Who among the cattle for strength, who in waters, air, or riches are most excellent?

भुव॒स्त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ ब्रह्म॑णा म॒हान्भुवो॒ विश्वे॑षु॒ सव॑नेषु य॒ज्ञियः॑ । भुवो॒ नॄँश्च्यौ॒त्नो विश्व॑स्मि॒न्भरे॒ ज्येष्ठ॑श्च॒ मन्त्रो॑ विश्वचर्षणे
bhuvastvamindra brahmaṇā mahānbhuvo viśveṣu savaneṣu yajñiyaḥ bhuvo nṝm̐ścyautno viśvasminbhare jyeṣṭhaśca mantro viśvacarṣaṇe
O Indra, you are great by the power of Brahman among beings, the sacrificer in all assemblies. You are the vigor of men, the supporter of the world; the foremost mantra in the turning of the universe.

अवा॒ नु कं॒ ज्याया॑न्य॒ज्ञव॑नसो म॒हीं त॒ ओमा॑त्रां कृ॒ष्टयो॑ विदुः । असो॒ नु क॑म॒जरो॒ वर्धा॑श्च॒ विश्वेदे॒ता सव॑ना तूतु॒मा कृ॑षे
avā nu kaṃ jyāyānyajñavanaso mahīṃ ta omātrāṃ kṛṣṭayo viduḥ aso nu kamajaro vardhāśca viśvedetā savanā tūtumā kṛṣe
Now tell me which of the two greater sacrificers measured the earth, who knew the measure of the offering. Which of these older ones grew, who of all gods shaped the rites and summoned assemblies?
Rigveda 10.050.06

ए॒ता विश्वा॒ सव॑ना तूतु॒मा कृ॑षे स्व॒यं सू॑नो सहसो॒ यानि॑ दधि॒षे । वरा॑य ते॒ पात्रं॒ धर्म॑णे॒ तना॑ य॒ज्ञो मन्त्रो॒ ब्रह्मोद्य॑तं॒ वचः॑
etā viśvā savanā tūtumā kṛṣe svayaṃ sūno sahaso yāni dadhiṣe varāya te pātraṃ dharmaṇe tanā yajño mantro brahmodyataṃ vacaḥ
These all the assemblies measured out the sacrificial portions themselves; the son spontaneously held what was given. Accept this vessel for the holy law; the sacrifice, the mantra, the spiritual utterance rose as the word.

ये ते॑ विप्र ब्रह्म॒कृतः॑ सु॒ते सचा॒ वसू॑नां च॒ वसु॑नश्च दा॒वने॑ । प्र ते सु॒म्नस्य॒ मन॑सा प॒था भु॑व॒न्मदे॑ सु॒तस्य॑ सो॒म्यस्यान्ध॑सः
ye te vipra brahmakṛtaḥ sute sacā vasūnāṃ ca vasunaśca dāvane pra te sumnasya manasā pathā bhuvanmade sutasya somyasyāndhasaḥ
Who are those priests who made the Brahman, born with possessions, and who brought riches in the gift? From the mind of Suman (the generous) the path was spread; the son’s radiant vigour brought the Soma’s splendour.
